John Delfino

Artist John Delfino is a contemporary artist based in Japan and the UK, whose vibrant paintings celebrate the beauty of life’s experiences.

His aim is not so much to represent abstract art, but rather to re-imagine the energy and flow in the paint. Spending countless hours breaking down his subject into patterns and fragments of colour John produces artworks that are not only striking but deep and powerful. Painted predominantly with acrylic, oil or watercolour paint, each piece begins with a blank canvas, but with a large amount of e

xperimentation, each art piece takes on its own journey from start to finish. The pieces challenge viewers to draw upon their own emotions and personal experiences.

About the artworks:

These pieces began with a simple grid, which I built up day by day, letting my intuition guide the colour choices. Without any pre-planned sketch, I allowed patterns and emotions to shape the painting naturally. The final result evokes the feeling of a dense bamboo forest—a beautiful, almost lost world where nature takes over.

Wow! The opening night was a total success! Thanks a million to everyone who came down.

We had it all: 🎨🖼️ delicious food, vibey music, a surprise shamisen performance (so good!), and most importantly, you lovely people.

Shoutout to the legends Kikyu & Callum for bringing it all together! 🙌
