Made in Japan matcha whisks are increasingly harder to find lately and they had also been out of stock for a while at my store too, but they have just arrived from Nara, Japan.
Kubo-komakichi-shohten in Takayama, Nara, Japan is the one who has been supplying these beautiful whisks.

久保駒吉商店さんの茶筅と茶さじが届きました♪　最近は国産の茶筅はどこも売り切れで、弊店でも茶筅はないかといらっしゃる方が多数。
なので届いて嬉しい♪しかも想定したより早く作ってくださり感謝感謝。
昔茶道の敷居を下げたいと活動をされていた運黒彩さんという方がいらして、急死されてしまったのだけれど、世界を茶筅と旅をしてばえる写真を撮影していた面白い方がいらした。茶筅は美的にも美しい芸術品。

I know, time really flies, doesn't it?! It's already October and it will soon be Christmas and it'll be the new year after that. The year 2027 is the year of the sheep and this is the year of the sheep Imabari gauze towel.
This gauze towel is very soft and it dries fast too. When I use this soft towel, that makes me feel happy and happiness can be purchased for only 1,100yen. How reasonable is that!

もう10月、そして来年の干支　未年のお年賀今治ガーゼタオルが入荷♪
このガーゼタオルは個人的にも気に入っているので、毎年自宅用に買って使っています。
柔らかくて乾きやすいし、幸せ〜て感じるのだけれど、幸せってたったの1,100円で買えるのね。やっすぅ〜。

I usually hate to talk about who bought what sort of things especially when it comes to celebrities, but because I was told he actually said that by himself during his live show that he bought them at my store, so I suppose it's no longer secret.
It seems like this singer who is very famous in Japan and I've known him since I was a kid and I even went to see the movie which he directed and he is like a human being in another world kind of person came to my store and bought those Christmas balls and hanged them from his own guitar on the stages which he appeared during the summer tour.
That particular design balls had been sold out since then, but I can happily announce that they are now available at my store. Thank you, Cristina, the artist who has been handcrafting those balls.
They also come in various designs and sizes.
Kimono version of these balls are now very limited, but they will arrive here shortly I suppose.

通常は誰が何を買ったなどの情報は他人に言わないようにしているけれど、桑田さんはライブ中に弊店で買って下さった事を間接的に話して下さった様ですのでお話しさせていただきます。
桑田さんが先のライブ中にギターに付けていたクリスマスボールを弊店で買って下さったようで、暫く予約販売をさせていただいておりましたが、ようやく落ち着いてきましたのでこの度こちらに掲載させていただきます。

Shachi-hoko is an imaginary creature with the head of a 🐉 dragon and the body of a 🐟 fish.
There is a legend that says a building is on fire, Shachi-hoko spews out water and put the fire out, so that's why Japanese castles and some houses have them on the roof as a guardian.

The one on the left of the photo is a miniature sized real Shachi-hoko and the other one on the right is a puzzle box version which is made of wood.

Shachi-hoko puzzle is extremely rare and handcrafted by Daiki Arimura. I found this box is quite difficult to open.

Megumi brought these maple leaf plants and the 2 toast plates with her yesterday.
As you take a closer look of the square plates, you'll notice that the surface is a bit bumpy because she presses real leaves on the surface to make these plates and that's why the design of these plates are all different.

Atelier Rei brought these little bags called Kinchaku and chopstick cases with her last week.
The Kinchaku bags are useful to put candies etc anything small things in it and carry it in a hand bag.
They come in three different sizes, but the medium is the most popular one, so I requested her to make more of the medium this time.
They are now resting comfortably at the shelves.
