Edo Kiriko at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai "Earth at Night" Pavilion
We're delighted to announce that an Edo Kiriko artwork, crafted by Master Traditional Craftsman Ryoko Nakamiya, is currently on display at the "Earth at Night"
pavilion (「夜の地球」館) at EXpo 2025 Osaka, Kansal.
While the Expo itself runs until October 13th, this artwork will be on display only until Tuesday, July 15th, due to a scheduled exhibit change.
The "Earth at Night" pavilion serves as a powerful symbol for the Noto Peninsula's recovery and a global message of solidarity. Central to its theme is the magnificent Wajima-nuri large globe, also titled "Earth at Night," which stands as a testament to the resilience of Hokuriku's traditional crafts and the region's ongoing recovery efforts following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
Alongside these impactful displays, the pavilion also showcases a diverse range of Japan's exquisite traditional crafts. Our Edo Kiriko artwork is featured as part of these introductions to Japan's rich artisan heritage.
And be sure to catch this particular Edo Kiriko piece before its display concludes on July 15th.
