サンサーフを展開する東洋エンタープライズの前身である「港商会」が、1950年代後半にハワイへアロハシャツを輸出する際に使用していたオリジナルブランドのラベルをフロッキープリントで施した雰囲気のあるダイナーシャツに仕上がっています。

This diner shirt has a distinctive look, featuring a flock print of the original brand label used by "Minato Shokai," the predecessor of Toyo Enterprise (the company that develops Sun Surf), when they exported aloha shirts to Hawaii in the late 1950s.

蝶の群れが細かく砕け散る波しぶきの上を飛び回る様を描写した非常に珍しい一枚。当時、友禅を手掛けていた職人が描いたスケッチを元に、京都の捺染工場でプリントされた生地はハワイに送られ、アロハシャツに仕立てて販売されていた。本来は半袖のみのリリースとなるアイテムですが、ヒノヤが別注した長袖アロハシャツ。

This is an extremely rare piece depicting a swarm of butterflies fluttering above the finely breaking waves. Based on a sketch drawn by a Yuzen dyeing craftsman at the time, the fabric was printed at a Kyoto textile factory, sent to Hawaii, and made into Aloha shirts for sale. While this item was originally released only in short sleeves, this is a long-sleeved Aloha shirt specially commissioned by Hinoya.
