🦎 Leon turns 5! 🪱

A month ago, I was given a fun challenge: create a cookie cake for a little boy who loves cookies, snakes, dirt and being outdoors.

The result:
8-inch cookie cake made with
🍪browned butter chocolate chip
Oreo dirt
candy rocks
gummy snakes, and lizards—everything this little adventurer loves.

Seeing his reaction and the video of him enjoying his cookie cake à la mode, saying
“Thank you, Karmina, this cookie cake is so good” made my day.

🍞Savory Surprise Loaf

I’ve always wanted to bake something savory so I put together a quick bread using my chili oil and some pantry staples and herbs from my garden.

This loaf is made with homemade buttermilk, savory blend of sesame seeds, spices and scallions from my garden and finished with my signature chili oil and Maldon sea salt. It’s tender, salty, a bit garlicky, flavorful and mildly spiced.

Perfect for breakfast, brunch or paired with soup.

This bread has received the seal of approval from friends with low heat tolerance😅
