; Sometimes

you won’t find me

in your messages
or your plans,

not in your mornings
or your moments,

not even
where I used to be.

Sometimes

I step away

from all the noise,
from all the rush,

to sit somewhere
that asks less of me,

where it’s just me.

A little quiet,
a little still,

something to read,
something to feel.

And there

I am not gone.

I am just
trying to feel like myself again,

until I can be
who I used to be.

; Things You Can’t Buy.

As you grow up,

you start to see

it’s not about
having more,

it’s about
feeling okay.

A day
that doesn’t feel heavy,

a mind
that lets you rest,

a heart
that isn’t always worried.

Some people have everything

and still feel lost,

some have very little

and feel enough.

And that’s when it hits:

peace is harder to find
than money,

and the best things in life

are the ones
you can’t buy.

; Life Hooked.

I am addicted to life,
To money's unyielding allure,
Obsession with love—my relentless OCD.
The essence of moon and sun,
I cannot do without,
Their rhythm, my eternal compass.

Born into this world,
I crave to live it to the fullest.
I cherish my body,
Fleeing from every abrasion,
For every scar whispers a tale of survival.

I need colors to paint my dreams,
I need music to soothe my soul,
I need words,
Poetically laden with meaning,
To fill the silence with purpose.

I long to hear the echoes of laughter,
Rippling through the air like an anthem of joy.
I yearn to touch the wind,
To feel the rush of freedom,
Unbound by chains of doubt.

I am addicted to the dance of seasons,
To the rain that kisses the earth,
To the fireflies that light the darkness,
To the stars that hold secrets of infinity.

I am addicted to this world,
Its chaos, its beauty, its pain, its glory
Every piece of it keeps me alive.

They said,
"Flowers don’t bloom in stones,"
but they don’t know
how we held ourself together
when the world fell apart.

Maybe they hate us,
maybe they don’t care.
Only we, know the weight
of the words thrown at us,
the curses whispered,
the battles we fought alone.

We smile in front of everyone,
because that’s what they want to see.
And they think,
"There’s no pain behind those smiles."

But within,
We’ve learned to bloom
even in places
where nothing should grow.

And yet,
when the petals finally fall,
no one sees the emptiness,
no one notices
that the flowers might've stopped blooming
a while back.

; Moonlit Reverie.

The moon hangs high,
a quiet sentinel in the velvet sky,
its beauty not in what it says,
but in what it reveals.

Silver light drapes across her,
softening edges,
casting shadows that hold no fear.
She is the moon’s chosen canvas.

The craters whisper her name,
ancient and enduring,
as if they’ve known her long before I did,
long before time carved its marks on us all.

Her eyes reflect the moon’s glow,
not as a mirror,
but as if they share the same fire,
the same quiet brilliance.

Even as the moon stands alone in the vast expanse,
its beauty is amplified by her presence.
She gives it meaning,
as if the sky itself sighs in awe
of the harmony they create.

I wonder,
is the moon watching her too?
Does it envy my fortune
to hold her hand
under its perfect light?

; It is true that yesterday, I lost faith in you.
It is also true that I no longer saw the strong man who braved challenges and overcame the insurmountable.
But today, I saw the hungry child smile again.
I saw that madman in the middle of the road, smiling, defying the world with a disarming recklessness.
So I decided to give up everything and let things happen naturally.

; KID. ADULT. KID.

If I were a kid again,
I would learn to draw.
As an adult, I don't
even know how to draw
a boundary.

If I were a kid again,
I would learn to say no.
As an adult, I struggle
to decline.

If I were a kid again,
I would learn to maintain.
As an adult, I have
only learned to mess
things up.

If I were a kid again,
I would learn to let go.
As an adult, I cling
even to toffee wrappers,
given by my loved ones.

If I were a kid again,
I would learn to live.
As an adult, I merely
survive and rest less.

If I were a kid again,
I would learn what's
necessary,
so I wouldn't have to
unlearn what's not.

; Don't breath in, breath out.

Breathe into this dead air and you shall know the desperation of acceptance,

Breath into those delicate eyes and you'll forever instill the agony of a slow burning dance,

Breath into the heart that was raided and you'll know your hands can't be a steady balance,

Breath into your intoxicated senses and you'll know the taste of a longing trance.

-so don't breath in, breath out.

; Blurred Lines.

Who Had I Been Fooling?

I sat at a table across from sins.
I watched all that was done and displayed,
in the acts of things I said I could never be,
I was the great spectator.
I told myself that as long as I kept my heart right,
it didn't matter what my eyes saw.

Across the table from sins I sat.
I heard all that was spoken,
in the words that had wounded my ears,
I was a keen listener.
I told myself that as long as I still could
discern from right and wrong,
it didn't matter what I heard.

I sat at a table across from sins.
I participated in the laughter and
words that were spoken,
in the sight of things I disagreed with,
I was a distinct participant.
I told myself that as long as I kept my composure
and only said a few that were right,
it didn't matter where I was.

What had I known to have been certain
I knew right from wrong?
Who was I to have said
it hadn't mattered?
How long had I lived to have believed
I was already who I could be?

The moment I proceeded my way out,
that which I experienced
was all my mind began playing.
And when I spoke,
the words didn't sound like mine.
And when I began to think,
my thoughts were stringed to all
I've seen.
And when I began to act,
it was the things I never thought
I could do.

The truths I knew became blurred with uncertainty.
I became certain on perhaps
and probability.

Only I knew how much I had
been affected.
But I had to go on pretending
that I hadn't become the things
I was surrounded by.
I told myself that as long as I didn't have to show it,
it didn't matter who I've become.
