Me:Hello and thank you for calling Hawi interiors how can we be of help kindly?

Client: Sasa...Niko na measurements za dirishaa na nilikuwa nataka curtains.

Me: Oh okay...

Client: Yes...naeza zipata lini?

Me: Is it okay if we kindly come for a site visit for more accurate measurements and fabric selection?

Client: Apana...I'm very sure of the measurements and it's what I used last time.

Me: Alrighty. Send me the measurements and fabric of choice on WhatsApp (0726419883)

Client: Okay.

Deposit is paid and we proceed to make very beautiful curtains as usual and even deliver on time as agreed.

But lo! and behold!
The curtains were mini skirts and gathers were not gathering.
The kitchen curtain was also longer than the window height.
For a minute there, we had a starring competition.

It's like I was saying ( na nilikuwa nimekuwuon🫴🏾)
And the client was saying ( sikujuaaa🥹)

Long story short, curtains were not installed. The client promised to get back but they never did.

Please note: Consultations and site visits are the most important part of a project.

One, we get the exact and accurate measurements , ceiling heights and window placements. It is worthentioning that wrong dimensions can easily spoil a project from the onset. Always be sure of this.

And two is risk reduction. Skipping consultations and site visits can lead to budget overruns or underruns, project delays, rework costs and the most unfortunate case is client dissatisfaction.

Lastly, during a site visit, as the designer and you the client, we build rapport and you even get more confidence in us both professionally and personally
