Ahead of joining Gwiji, every new recruit is required to attend an in-person vetting and training session. Training is a vital part of our process, as it allows us to:
✅ Vet cleaners to ensure they meet our minimum standards
✅ Communicate client expectations before they begin work
✅ Assess each cleaner’s strengths and areas for improvement
✅ Teach practical skills, such as operating vacuum cleaners and washing machines
✅ Introduce cleaners to the Gwiji App and how to use it
Recently, we have been working to make training more accessible by hosting sessions in central locations like Nairobi CBD 🇰🇪
The results have been PROMISING!
Through centralized training, we’ve achieved:
🏆 Better cleaner turnout at our training events
🏆 Reduced challenges related to venue accessibility, transportation, and lateness
These insights are vital to our efforts to scale our venture across Kenya and achieve our goal of empowering 10,000 women nationwide.
