The Found Form.

I didn't carve this shape. I found it.

The natural form of this Moringa slab was already there. Slightly over 2ft long and 16 inches wide, with a beautiful almost pear like silhouette. I simply worked with what the wood gave me.

The hairpin legs are hand-finished and heat blued, bringing out a mix of deep blue, gold and black in the steel. Every colour shift comes from the process, making each leg completely its own.

A substantial catch-all, a statement piece, and most importantly, something that can't be replicated.

No template. No second one.
Just one, FOUND FORM.

The Found.
Part of the 1 of 1 series. An entry way tray carved out of an old Red cedar stump i came across on one of my decompression walks. This is where an overactive creative mimd gets a chance to breathe.
Years of natural weathering, preserved in the finish, with hand stitching added to complement its scars, cracks & character.
