🌸 Giving Emily bedan her flowers! 📚

A huge thank you to Emily for hosting our Books & Bloom Book Club discussion of Confessions of Nairobi Men – Book 1.

She came prepared with brilliant questions and kept us thinking, challenging each other and occasionally reconsidering what we thought we knew about the characters and their choices.

What made this session particularly interesting was using Urie Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory as our analytical lens looking beyond individual behaviour to explore how relationships, family, society, culture and the wider environment shape the choices people make.

There was debate, laughter and very different opinions.

Thank you, Emily, for leading such a thoughtful conversation. This is exactly what we love about Book Club we don’t just read the book, we interrogate it together. 🌿📖
