Squeezing in one last project before heading to Korea.

I've had this in mind for over a year so I'm finally actioning it. A pair of flags. Think Pride flag meets a red-tailed black cockatoo feather. I'm using up a 5mtr piece of silk remnant from the 2021 butterfly flag project and I'll also be using those left over dyes.

It's a nice way to trial out a concept without a big expense. Although I did by 2 telescopic poles for this months ago 🤣

Deep dive flash back to Feburary 2026 turning a 3 piece vintage jacobean lounge set into a Cat Shrine for .

I found the couches up for giveaway on Marketplace that had a lot of wear. I knew straight away I wanted to salvage the timber legs, rattan frames and carved back pieces.

Once I had the couches deconstructed, I carefully designed using all the interesting pieces to create this one off display stand that would form the base of the shrine. Then creating and curating a cat themed display over a period of weeks.

I have visited many temples, places of worship and shines over the years and adapted different elements to give this shrine some authenticity. Modifyre
