Thirteen years ago I married a man from the other side of the world, and my kitchen has never been the same since.

He’s Native Hawaiian, born in Hawaii and raised in Texas. I’m Kuwaiti. When two people cook for each other that long things cross over, and five of his favorite dishes are now mine too.
