Cooking Ceylon Galle – A Hands-on Sri Lankan Cooking Experience

📍 Location: Idyllic Villa Homestay, Karapitiya, Galle, Sri Lanka
⏳ Duration: 2 hours
🕙 Session Times:
•Morning: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
•Evening: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
💰 Price: $20 per person

🌿 What to Expect?

A fully hands-on cooking session where you will learn to prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes using traditional tools and methods.

🍽 Cooking Experience Includes:

✔️ Welcome Refreshment: A king coconut, young coconut, or a Sri Lankan herbal drink (Polpala, Ranawara, or Belimal) will be served.

✔️ Traditional Cooking Techniques: Learn to use a Sri Lankan coconut scraper, mortar and pestle, and a grinding stone.

✔️ Hands-On Cooking: You will cook everything yourself under our guidance.

✔️ Enjoy Your Meal: After cooking, sit down and enjoy the delicious dishes you’ve prepared.

🥘 Menu – Seven Dishes

1️⃣ Steamed Rice – The heart of every Sri Lankan meal.
2️⃣ Main Curry: A Sri Lankan fish curry (or prawns, depending on availability).
3️⃣ Vegetable Curry 1
4️⃣ Vegetable Curry 2
5️⃣ Leafy Green Dish - (e.g., Gotukola sambol).
6️⃣ Coconut Sambol – A spicy, tangy coconut relish.
7️⃣ Traditional Sweet – Options like kokis, aluwa, or another local dessert.
