Deadpool 3 - Rebooting Production
The third installment of the "Deadpool" movie series has resumed filming, as confirmed by Disney co-chairman Alan Bergman during a recent town hall. The production had previously been halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. "Deadpool 3" features Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the titular character, alongside Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine. The plot details are scarce, but familiar faces like Monica Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jennifer Garner (as Elektra) are set to return. Emma Corrin is rumored to be the villain, and Matthew Macfadyen has an undisclosed role. Shawn Levy directs, working from a script co-written with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds, Levy, and Kevin Feige are producing, marking the first R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The release is now scheduled for July 26, 2024, having been moved from its original May date, and it will be the only Marvel Studios movie for 2024.
