A story of hands that have spent years perfecting their craft, of skills passed down through generations, and of traditions that deserve to be preserved.

Not everyone is given the same opportunities to have their work seen, valued and celebrated. And that’s why creating space for others matters. Because when we support the people behind these crafts, we help create opportunities, support families and ensure that these traditions continue to live on.

Representing Sri Lanka has never meant carrying this journey alone. Throughout this journey, I have carried pieces of home with me - its stories, its traditions and, most importantly, its people. 🇱🇰❤️

Because what makes Sri Lanka so beautiful isn’t just what we see. It’s the incredible people behind it.

What an incredible experience it was being part of CCWE Fashion Week and helping these amazing women bring their ideas and visions to life. I had such a wonderful time guiding them through the creative process and seeing their concepts come together so beautifully on the runway.

A truly meaningful day spent with the incredible women behind these beautiful handmade creations. From learning the process of transforming Pun grass into handcrafted products to sharing stories, ideas, and laughter, it was an experience I will cherish.

Through HOOP, we were honoured to support their work by donating 2 machines to improve their production process and conducting a knowledge sharing workshop.

These wonderful women welcomed us with such warm hospitality, inspiring conversations, and delicious homemade Thala Guli that gave us a taste of Sri Lankan tradition. ❤️

A meaningful step forward for Hoop The Label ✨

At NEDA, a special opportunity was extended to Miss. Pratibha Liyanaarachchi as the “ශිෂ්‍යයෝද ව්‍යවසායකයෝද” Ambassador - a moment that connects youth, entrepreneurship, and future vision together.

As a growing brand built around creativity, business, and purpose, building this connection with NEDA was important for us. Entrepreneurship is not only about business - it’s about creating opportunities, empowering people, and opening doors for future generations.

This meeting marked the beginning of future collaborations, campaigns, and initiatives with NEDA, as Hoop The Label continues to move forward with bigger goals and stronger connections.

I met an incredible group of craftswomen creating beautiful work right here in Sri Lanka. We talked about their skills, their goals, and how to grow. Now we’re working together to improve their craft, build confidence, and bring Sri Lankan artistry to a global stage.
