From the private estate of Mudaliyar Abilion De Silva Kanakaratne of Wellaboda Pattuwa (Weligam Korale, Southern Province).

Historical Reference: He is officially registered with his portrait and biography in J.C. Van Sanden's definitive 1936 book, "The Chieftains of Ceylon" (Mudaliyar Section). Copies of the page verification will be provided to the buyer
Condition: Complete 5-piece heavy brass set (Tray, 2 Pots, Creamer, Sugar Bowl) dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Kept in original antique condition with authentic patina.

This exceptional vertical wall screen panel holds immense historical value to Sri Lanka. It was originally gifted by the former Governor-General of Ceylon and the 1st President of Sri Lanka, Sir William Gopallawa, to his personal physician, Dr. D.J. Attygalle. This item has been preserved within the Doctor's estate and is now being sold directly by the inheriting family due to migration to Australia.
