Back on track! Production resumed after the long but necessary break to improve the methods to:
1.- impregnate the felt pads with natural rubber ✅
2.- achieve vulcanisation ✅ 3.- cut the rubberised felt to the exact shape ✅ 4.-glue the felt pads flawlessly into the mute ✅ Now everything seems perfect, and the Eenhar mutes has now become unbelievably easier to use and handle 😀

The hardest part wasn’t the formula — it was sourcing the right components in quantities that actually make sense for a small workshop. After months of research and testing, I finally made it: a natural, homemade elastic for a perfect, lifelong and buzz-less grip of the mute on the string. First time trying a copper loaded plain gut D string (second from the left) by
Fantastic string, much thinner than pure gut and extremely flexible, these strings are extremely rich and powerful, and allow to relax when playing fifths 😅
Treated my way before putting it on, to ensure easy bow contact and perfect tune stability, I’ll definitely offer these in my selection of custom-treated plain gut strings!!!

Fantastic afternoon yesterday in Berlin, meeting for the first time and showing the as well as my processed plain gut strings and minimalist (less than 20 grams!) chin rests made of horn.
Installed and tried gut setup on one of the violins (David Bagué, 2001). Always rewarding to see a guy newcomer discovering how rich, pure and powerful it can sound, both on the Bagué and the Violinabox!
Discussed a lot of topics and made a new friend, thank you Lionel!!! 😃

Who could dream of a better advertising than a violinist of such refined artistry choosing your mutes for a recording of this calibre?

We are delighted to share this performance of La Malinconia by Eugène Ysaÿe, played by Rémy Ballot — taken from his complete recording of Ysaÿe's Solo Violin Sonatas, released on the Gramola label.

Rémy chose Eenhar mutes for this project, and the musical result is deeply moving: a warm, intimate tone that serves Ysaÿe's introspective writing with exceptional sensitivity and naturalness.

This collaboration has been a source of great pleasure on both sides, and we feel genuinely fortunate that his vision for this music and our mutes found each other.

We hope you enjoy this beautiful performance as much as we do. 🎻

A quick look back at last Saturday’s fantastic concert at the Wiener Konzerthaus (well done to those who recognised it!), Mahler’s ‘Resurrection’ performed by the Luxembourg Philharmonic under the marvellous baton of Maestro SOKHIEV, together with the Singakademie Wien, Okka Von Damerau and Louise Alder. Unforgettable!!!
