Oh Sew Poignant! A letter from the heart…
During a recent visit to the Scrap Space, I found some usual fabric remnants, buttons and unwanted cards and embroideries. When I got home, I found a very heartwarming yet sad letter within the packet of embroideries and felt obliged to track down the authors family. Do you have Joyce in your family tree? It appears she wrote the letter in 1999 when she was 65 and living in Yorkshire. It is such a comment on our social history and I believe worth preserving. -stitch

Oh Sew British…a wet bank holiday.
However, this didn’t stop some hardy soles from visiting the beautiful medieval town of Arundel. I decided not to set up my bunting stand on Saturday morning as the forecast on Friday night was for wind and rain. However, Rob was participating in the dragon boat races along the Arun later that day so we travelled to this beautiful Sussex town around lunchtime. With my bunting still in the motorhome, and with some encouragement from fellow stand holders, I decided to set up. We did indeed have some mighty downpours but I also had some lovely chats (and sales l) from the hardy folk who didn’t let the wet stuff dampen their spirit.

Be Brave! A card with sentiment…and this animal fabric was salvaged from The Scrap Store some months ago and today it spoke to me…it conveys courage, hope, bravery, vulnerability and beauty.

I am sew (so) thrilled with how my first day went at Carry on Crafting, Ardingly. Very windy and rather hot but I spoke with many fellow crafters and sew love showcasing my bunting and embroideries.
