Travel + Leisure names Andean Explorer the world’s No.1 rail journey.

Designed by Muza Lab in 2018, this was a dream project for our team. We spent time in Peru travelling the route, working alongside local craftspeople and visiting the PeruRail workshops to understand the history, craftsmanship and culture behind one of the world’s great rail journeys.

Designing this journey was about rich textures, beautiful patterns and crafted details that allowed the changing colours and scenery of the Peruvian Andes to become part of the experience itself. When transport is designed with the same care as a destination, the journey becomes just as memorable as the place you’re travelling to.

The gym at .Here Baa Atoll Maldives is positioned at the edge of the breakwater, bringing movement as close to the shoreline as possible. Light-washed woods, raffia-lined ceilings and soft colour accents create an uplifting space for training, yoga and meditation, while the arranged weights become part of the architecture of the room, turning function into pattern, colour and energy.

The bar at .Here Baa Atoll Maldives sits at the centre of the resort, shaped by the colours and textures of the reef beyond.

Handmade ceramic tiles in layered aqua tones wrap the counter beneath a sculptural coral installation. As the light changes throughout the day, shadows move slowly through the sculpture, making the whole room feel connected to the rhythm of sea and sky.

The Interiors continue the pastel language of the hotel - Green leather, pink cushions and soft oak. The soft green is dominant, and we custom developed gio-ponti inspired tiles.
