📌Boujaad rugs are hand-woven pile rugs from a small region between the Middle Atlas. These rugs are all individually crafted by hand and may be slightly asymmetrical in their shape and pattern with some minor imperfections.
📌This Boujaad rug is handwoven using natural wool fibers and vegetable dyes. It is created with the typical knotting techniques practiced by Berber tribes, but with the knot being pulled tighter, the rug requires less wool. In addition, this allows the weaver to create the intricate geometric patterns that Boujaad rugs are famous for. The colors are created by natural dyes - from flowers, berries, leaves, and henna.
