Others gather character.

These handmade Limesite tiles by Wolkberg were installed in a busy restaurant over four years ago. Developed as an innovative lime-based surface designed to endure heavy use while evolving naturally over time, the material was created with longevity in mind rather than short-term perfection.

Daily foot traffic, moving chairs, spills and constant use slowly transformed the floor, creating a patina unique to the space.

What began as a lighter, more uniform surface gradually developed deeper contrast, warmth and variation through use. Not worn out, but lived in.

A reminder that handmade materials are not always meant to remain untouched. Sometimes, the beauty comes from how they evolve with the spaces around them.

A pool surface shaped by colour.
