Located in Anahita Mauritius, this office was completed within one month to ensure immediate use for the owner of a villa that we are also managing. Unlike our usual work, which generally involves a more in-depth interior design approach with redefinition of volumes and spatial restructuring, this project is strictly decorative.

Furniture, lighting, wallpaper, rugs, artificial plants, and decorative elements were all sourced locally.

Two lamps from the brand Artemide provide precise and comfortable lighting. An elegant executive desk, discovered in the Espace et Vie showroom, became the central element of the composition.

The executive chair is oriented toward the exterior, while the wall behind features wallpaper illustrating Mauritius, visually positioning our client in the Indian Ocean during video conferences.

Rugs, greenery, and wall baskets further reinforce the Mauritian identity and symbolize the gentle way of life on our island, even within a workspace.

Our work on this house in Pereybère is based on creating harmony between the existing building and its sloped site, restoring a fluid relationship between the interior, the garden, and the landscape. The addition of a masonry planter along the façade helped correct the perceived height of the structure, visually anchoring the house into the terrain. The new front steps, extended by a pergola, redefine the main entrance and reestablish a clear connection between the threshold, the street, and the main volume.

On the main façade, the opening of a large fixed window facing the wetlands transformed the house’s relationship with its natural surroundings, bringing visual depth and constant light into the heart of the living room. The cumaru deck now connects the veranda to the pool, extending the outdoor spaces in a material continuity. Finally, the patio of the master bathroom, featuring an outdoor shower, creates an intimate transition between interior and garden, grounding the whole in a serene and coherent composition.

These interventions are complemented by a full renovation of the interiors: ravenal ceilings, polished concrete floors, a metal staircase railing, pine doors, as well as the redesign of the kitchen, bathrooms, electrical system, and lighting. The result is a rebalanced home where every detail contributes to the coherence between structure, material, and landscape.

A fresh new look for the Cavendish, the bar of the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort. The complete reorganization of the interior space, along with the selection of textile harmonies inspired by the colors of the Cavendish’s iconic ceiling, restores the bar’s charm and elegance.

The outdoor area unfolds around a magnificent banyan tree, whose roots are illuminated from below to enhance the magic of tropical evenings under a starry sky. The furniture in this space has been entirely redesigned.

At the Sugar Beach Mauritius Hotel by Sunlife Resorts (Your Sunlife), the interior layout of the rooms has been reimagined to avoid the typical hotel room configuration: a closed bathroom at the back of the space, a narrow access corridor with a closet on the right and bathroom fixtures on the left. Here, the layout leads guests through the bathroom to reach the bedroom, following a logic of openness and spatial continuity.

The bedroom and bathroom together form a single, flexible volume that adapts to different uses. With the louvers open, the spaces are visually connected, expanding the sense of openness. When closed, and combined with a sliding door, the louvers restore necessary privacy. This arrangement also allows natural light into the bathroom and increases its usable surface area.

The bathroom’s presence is subtly integrated through the vanity unit, designed as a furniture piece: a solid wood console, granite countertop, and under-mounted sinks. The shower and toilet are hidden behind walls, out of view.

Mirrored closet doors further enhance the sense of space while organizing the dressing area. The floor is finished in cement tiles with a border pattern, like a mineral rug marking the entrance to the bedroom. A cornice runs along the ceiling, offering a continuous and refined finish to the space.

The Matériauthèque – The Material Heart of Our Studio

25% of our space is dedicated to the matériauthèque: a vital workspace, organized to host, structure, and showcase all the materials and finishes used in our projects. It is here that the material coherence of each design intervention is developed.

At the forefront, the drawer unit stores samples sorted by project. Each drawer, labeled with a removable tag, allows us to track the specific material palette of each current or completed study.

The large central table (3m x 1m) structures the space. It serves as a composition surface for materials—marble, wood, textiles, paints—and becomes a presentation table during client meetings. Its lower shelf holds catalogs and textile supports, making everything accessible and easy to read.

To the left of this table, a tall cabinet made up of twelve compartments (30x30 cm) groups material families by type: rattan weaves, waxed concrete finishes, wooden slats, blinds samples, marbles, and granites. Further along, the long low cabinet placed under the display board stores large samples in wide, deep drawers.

In the back left corner, flooring catalogs are available for consultation, stored at hand height. Focused lighting on the board is provided by the Parentesi lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù in 1971 for Flos – an iconic piece of Italian industrial design.

The entire matériauthèque is part of a broader spatial concept: walnut-stained pine furniture made by Boiserie Décor, glazed metal partitions for the meeting room designed by Free-Steel création, rattan lighting fixtures crafted by . The black terracotta pots from Anduze come from Plaisir du Jardin, the greenery from Nature Sculpt Ltd, the rugs from , and the raffia curtains from D.Beekhun & Sons Ltd Painting, flooring, and partition work were carried out by Ultraconstruct Co Ltdand the electrical installation was completed by Amir Maderbuccus.

The matériauthèque serves as a direct interface between design work, collaboration with craftsmen, and the materialization of the project. It supports every phase of the process.

At Sugar Beach Mauritius, our intervention a few years ago focused on the reception area, which needed to be completely reimagined. The existing volume, very tall and cathedral-like, functioned more as a passageway than as a welcoming space. Upon arrival, the instinct was simply to pass through it to reach the sea, with no reason to linger.

We reworked the volumetry to give it a more human scale. A large metal pergola was added to break the verticality and define a true lounge area below. This structure now hosts cascading plants that clearly outline a waiting space, designed for sitting, meeting someone, and enjoying the reception area – a true welcoming space in every sense.

The side arches were also removed. On the right, the reception area was acoustically open to the restaurant below, which made it noisy during lunch hours. This connection was closed off to restore calm. On the left, the adjacent lounge was fragmented by a sloped roof covering half the space. We unified the volume under a white wooden ceiling, creating a coherent, single space dedicated to relaxation.

Also part of the same intervention: the new arrival porch was designed with a minimal number of columns to allow cars to circulate easily and stop under cover. It visually guides visitors toward the reception entrance. The structure, with its centered supports and extension to the left and right, addresses climatic constraints with both lightness and elegance.

How do you integrate a patio into a living room?

This photo from our house renovation project at Pointe D'Esny tells exactly that story — one of seamless continuity between interior and exterior, where you move from inside to outside without even noticing.

The key is having the same floor level across both spaces. In Mauritius, where daily rain is common, that means treating the exterior floor as a raised deck. Rainwater passes through the deck slats and drains onto a lower slab beneath, while the walking surface remains flush with the indoor flooring — no step, no transition line.

The second element is the glass façade. Here, slim 70 cm sliding-folding panels fold neatly onto side walls. Their position was carefully designed so that, when open, they virtually disappear. The result: the patio opens up fully and becomes a natural extension of the living space.

At the heart of this open-air void stands a tree — taller than the roofline — anchoring the patio to the surrounding landscape. In the evening, it’s lit from below, drawing the eye upwards and reinforcing the vertical connection to the sky.

This approach — continuous flooring, minimal openings, and a living, growing centerpiece — transforms what was once an exterior space into a quiet core of the home, open when weather allows, enclosed when needed, and always part of the architecture.

The main restaurant at Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa has been designed to offer an experience where fluidity, intimacy, and conviviality meet.

The imposing and sculptural Anduze vases punctuate the dining areas and reinforce the intimacy of the tables. This vegetal presence, both decorative and functional, complements the furniture and structures the volumes.

The communal table, a true centerpiece, accommodates between 10 and 12 guests. Positioned in front of a panoramic wallpaper by Les Dominotiers, it is highlighted by a suspended metal pergola, supporting vegetation and lighting. This setting creates a warm and cozy atmosphere, giving the impression of being "at home" in the heart of the restaurant.

Each table is carefully lit by pendant lights that descend to the ideal height, creating bubbles of light while fixing the arrangement of the furniture. This deliberate choice avoids unexpected movements and preserves the harmony of the layout. The benches, designed in a brasserie spirit, offer flexibility and comfort, allowing configurations to be adjusted according to needs.

The entire project was guided by the search for a balance between fluid circulation, visual comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. The objective: to offer visitors moments of well-being, in a space that combines refinement, functionality, and warmth.

This image captures the heart of our work at Preskil Island Resort, completed in 2019 in collaboration with Architects Studio. The open-plan lounge blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, using soft lighting to create shadows that shift with the evening breeze.

The thatched roof structure, supported by exposed timber beams, brings a sense of island craftsmanship, while the white walls become a canvas for natural patterns projected by plants and architectural lighting. This approach helps blur the line between interior and exterior, reinforcing the feeling of moving through a space that belongs as much to the outdoors as it does to the building.

The lighting design plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere, inspired by the idea of candlelight gently illuminating a historic camp or settlement. This connection to the island’s layered history is present throughout the project, where every detail echoes both natural simplicity and the cultural stories of the region.

At Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, entirely renovated by us in 2017, the iconic paintings in the rooms were created using upholstery fabric designed by the renowned French couturier Christian Lacroix.

The choice of this collection, named Jardin Exo Chic, which depicts a tropical forest and bougainvillea flowers, is a tribute to the famous early 19th-century botanist Charles Telfair, after whom the hotel is named.
