PREPARATION:
* Tsukani nsomba zanu mmadzi otentha kuchotsa mafuta omwe amazipaka komanso tizilombo tina tithawe.

NSIMA COOKING
(pronounced en-see-ma)




- Nsima is the โ€œstapleโ€ food of Malawi, much like bread, rice, pasta or potatoes are in other cultures. Nsima is thick starchy porridge made from corn, cassava, or other starch flour. The corn flour is either ufa woyera or ufa wa mgaiwa.

- Ufa woyera is maize flour which has first had the outer kernel shell and seed germ pounded off, leaving just the starchy part of the seed. Ufa wa mgaiwa is the whole corn kernel.

- The nsima porridge is formed into hamburger-size patties by scooping the porridge with a wet wooden spoon and flipping it onto a plate.
- The patty congeals in contact with the cool wet spoon and plate.
- Marble size pieces are broken off and rolled into a ball in the palm of the hand with the fingers. We call this Mbamu. A final dimple is pressed into one side of it. It is then dipped in ndiwo (the sauce of vegetables or meat).

(1). KUPHIKA NSIMA

CHICCO'S KITCHEN

METHOD:

* Kuteleka madzi molingana ndi anthu amene akufuna kudya nsimayo.

* Then ikatentha add ufa pang'onopang'ono, uku muk*takasa mpaka ipange phala la size lok*ti lizitha kuwira bwino koma lipangenso madzi or kulimba kwambiri.

* Likawila kwa kanthawi; ngati uli ufa oyera or gramil (koma mgaiwa amafunika awire mokwanira) then yambani k*thira ufa ngati phala lapsa, uku muk*takasa.

* Takasani mpaka lilimbe size yomwe mukufuna kenaka bvindikirani kwa kamphindi kamodzi.

* Kenaka pakurani pogwiritsa ntchito chipande.
Chikakhala chipande cha plastic pakani mafuta ophikira.
Ngati ndi chathabwa timanyika mmadzi k*ti nsima isamamatilire.

METHOD:

* Terekani Madzi anu in the preferred pot

* Then adikireni madzi aphye but asawire kuopetsa nsima kupanga mabulu

* Then kandirani mpakana zikhale ngati phala lija.

* Kenako isiyeni ibwate for 10-15 minutes

* Kenako muyambe k*thira UFA uja gradually mpakana ilimbeko ndithu (polinyamutsa m'mwamba nsima ndi mthikoyo).

* Thyakulani kwambiri k*ti isapange mabulu.

* Then finally pakulani ndi chipande chanu.

Note:
Ena zipande za plastic zimatsalira nsima popakura.
Koma mukhoza kupaka mafuta (cooking oil) kuchipande chija; kuwopetsa kumatilira kwa nsima kuja. Choncho nsima yanu imatuluka bwino.

Serve it as hot as it is with the preferred relish.

* Yambani k*tchakula mpaka igwirane.

* Telekani madzi pamoto
* Akawira kwambiri, sungunulani ufa padela ndipo ukhale madzimadzi
* Kenaka thilani mmadzi owira aja pamoyo, mpaka zipange phala
* Lidikileni libwate kwa 6 to 10minutes
* Then ikani ufa wina mpaka litalimba mwa kukonda kwanu
* Yambanino k*thyakula mpaka igwirane.

METHOD 3.

* Wilitsani kwambiri madzi anu ndipo pakhale moto wochuluka.
* Akawira yambani k*thira ufa mpaka nsima ilimbe mmene mumakondera
* Then muyambe k*thyakula
* Bvindikirani for a few minutes at low heat
