La aproximación y entrada a la iglesia se realiza siguiendo la trayectoria de ese muro que acompaña y abraza al visitante hasta acceder al interior de la iglesia a través de un orificio de gran altura en uno de sus muros. En su interior, el edificio desciende de manera escalonada hasta llegar al altar y su pared frontal, que se recorta en forma de cruz. Gracias a esa gran cruz se genera una intersección entre lo sólido y el lumínico con la que pretende involucrar al usuario y sus sentidos haciendo que tome conciencia en el interior de la iglesia de la profunda división entre lo espiritual y lo mundano.

The approach to and entrance of the church follow the trajectory of this wall, which accompanies and embraces the visitor until reaching the interior of the church through a tall opening in one of its walls. Inside, the building descends in a stepped sequence toward the altar and its frontal wall, which is cut out in the shape of a cross. Through this large cross, an intersection is created between the solid and the luminous, intended to engage the user and their senses, making them aware, within the interior of the church, of the profound division between the spiritual and the worldly.

Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel, Glasgow, UK | Zaha Hadid Architects

Completed in 2011, the Riverside Museum redefines the traditional museum typology through a dynamic, fluid form that echoes movement and industrial flow. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the building features a striking zigzag roofline that rises from the ground and opens toward the River Clyde, referencing Glasgow’s shipbuilding heritage. The interior is conceived as a continuous, flexible exhibition space, allowing large-scale objects and varied displays to coexist without rigid boundaries. Steel cladding and extensive glazing reinforce the contrast between solidity and transparency, positioning the museum as both an urban landmark and a contemporary interpretation of motion, infrastructure, and transport history.
