Looking for a veggie-friendly spot in Oaxaca 🇲🇽? is easily one of my favorite restaurants here, especially with all the delicious options for vegans and vegetarians.

🍅 Their famous “plato de jitomates” features a rainbow of fresh tomatoes with a bright beet purée underneath. I always order this because they switch up the tomatoes depending on the season and I love trying the new varieties.
🍄🟫 Crispy, fried, and filled with earthy hongos de aguacate (local mushrooms), this vegan quesadilla comes with a flavorful dried chile adobo sauce.
👨🏻🍳 I got a look behind the scenes, where the kitchen staff was cleaning freshly foraged wild mushrooms from the Sierra (available only during the current rainy season).
❤️ As a tomato-lover, I always have to take a peek at the beautiful collection of local tomatoes ripening in the restaurant’s dedicated "tomato room."
Levadura de Olla truly celebrates Oaxacan produce at its peak and every dish here showcases the mountain region’s rich culinary traditions. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves good food!
