had an amazing opportunity to visit Pedro Friedberg's home in San Miguel de Allende next to the Plaza de Toros. Although Señor Friedeberg is now living in Mexico City at age 95, we got to visit his private home and art gallery, as well as his cat Netflix, named after the documentary done on Pedro. Known for the famous hand chair, Señor Friedbergs playful art reminded us to design with intent, but don't take life too seriously. Gracias por el tiempo y la inspiracion eterea PF. artstudio

Folks often think the idea of Interior Design is sexy. In truth it's 15% amazing design, and 85% logistics, foreign banking, 9pm shipments on a Sunday, and listening to that one vendor tell you he's behind because of another family emergency... Still there is nothing more than seeing a beautiful project come together on the last day.

As a kid visiting the Copper Canyon in Mexico, I saw the natural molcajete bowls the abuelas would create in the massive granite boulders grinding their maiz. Amazing to think how many simple meals were created using the first pestle & mortar in these tiny pools across the rocks. In celebration, OCHO+CO is creating a new chair, The Creel, that honors the heritage and tradition of the Tarahumara people and their beautiful spot in this world. +co

We were told about this little atelier designing amazing furniture in the barrios of Guadalajara, MX. The mural outside captures so much of what we see every day in our quest to find the most amazing craftsman to build the furniture for OCHO+CO and you. We love hallways, especially this beautiful project with form pressed concrete and glass. Hallways are that quiet corridor that lead you from mood to mood, transition to another energy as you move thru them. Long runners under our feet and personal photos soften us in these passages. santos
