Architectural Intimacy: A Masterclass in Warm Hospitality 🥩🍷

Take a look inside our award-winning commercial transformation in the heart of Kuching: Touch Wood @ Howdy's.

📝 Brief: To design a warm, deeply intimate commercial hospitality space that elevates the traditional steakhouse experience into a grand dining destination.

👁️‍🗨️ Insight: For a premier dining and w**e space, standard bright lighting can feel rushed, while simple darkness can obscure craftsmanship. Wood paired with deliberate architectural illumination strikes the perfect balance—rich reddish-brown wood veneers provide tactile comfort, while slim, linear light strips outline structural arches to guide the eye toward a striking, back-lit w**e cellar display.

💡 Concept: "Howdy Your Day?" By leaning into deep wood tones and casting a soft, warm cove lighting scheme, we bathed the space in a rich amber glow. It mimics the romance of candlelight and the timeless sophistication of a traditional cellar—instantly inviting contemporary diners to linger, converse, and unwind.

📝 Brief: To design a distinguished, contemporary urban home that redefines opulence through a highly focused, monochromatic lens.

👁️‍🗨️ Insight: When it comes to modern interiors, black can feel too heavy and white too stark. Grey strikes the perfect balance—it is deep, distinguished, and interacts beautifully with both natural sunlight and the golden glow of evening downlights.

💡 Concept: "Goodness Greycious." By exploring the nuanced, contrasting shades of grey, we created an environment that feels lavish yet incredibly grounded. It’s a sophisticated, focused alternative to traditional luxury, tailor-made for the contemporary urbanite.

This week, we feature another Bronze A'Design Award winner, a commercial project for SP Setia, a well known developer for its Customer's Engagement Centre (CEC) at Trefoil, Setia Alam in full Zen Aesthetics.

📝Brief :To transform a traditional transaction space into a sensory-calming sanctuary—an architectural "pause button" that offers visitors a moment of mindfulness away from the urban buzz.

👁️‍🗨️Insight :We believe in the power of wood. As the only element sourced from life itself, it brings a unique, grounding warmth that metal, fire, water, and air cannot replicate.

💡Concept : By embracing "Zen Aesthetics," we utilized clean lines and textured timber to create a fluid, minimalist environment. The result is a space that fosters peace of mind and genuine connection, proving that true luxury is found in balance.
