At the centre is [1] a vintage rosewood mahjong table accompanied by four matching chairs, its restrained lines and geometric detailing lending the ensemble an understated elegance. Traditionally associated with convivial gatherings among family and friends, the mahjong table was as much a place for conversation and companionship as it was for play.

居於陳設中央的是 [1] 一套古典花梨木麻將桌與四張配椅，線條簡潔端雅，幾何構件錯落有致，在沉穩的木色之中流露含蓄而雋永的氣韻。麻將桌自來便與親友歡聚的生活情景密不可分，它不僅是一方娛樂博弈之席，更是家人朋友圍坐閒談、相聚言歡之處，承載著日常生活中溫暖而親密的人情記憶。

Behind it stands [2] a rosewood display shelf, its open architectural form providing an elegant setting for books, ceramics and treasured objects. Crowning the shelf is [3] an early twentieth century ensemble from the Shan State depicting the Buddha accompanied by four mendicant monk disciples. Their serene postures and aged gilded surfaces lend a quiet contemplative presence to the setting.

其後矗立著 [2] 一座花梨木博古架，通透疏朗的格架結構，為書籍、瓷器與各式珍藏提供雅致而從容的展示空間。架頂陳列著 [3] 一組二十世紀初來自撣邦（Shan State）的佛陀與四位托缽僧弟子造像。佛陀與眾僧姿態安詳內斂，歷經歲月沉澱的鎏金表面泛著古樸溫潤的光澤，為整體空間添上一份寧靜而沉思的氣息。

Anchoring the composition is [1] a Qing era Shaanxi side cabinet, preserved in its original painted finish and distinguished by an unusual upper panel that opens from the top. Its richly weathered red lacquer, hand painted floral scrolls and longevity motifs reveal a beautifully matured patina, lending the piece an unmistakable sense of age and character.

[1] 一座清代陝西邊櫃保留了原有的彩繪與漆面，尤以罕見的上掀式櫃門設計別具特色。歷經歲月洗禮的朱漆表面，配以手繪花卉卷草及壽字紋飾，呈現出溫潤深沉的自然包漿，斑駁之間盡顯古雅氣韻與歲月沉澱。

Resting above is [2] a lively pair of Qing era Teochew architectural corbel lions, boldly carved and retaining traces of their original polychrome decoration. Originally conceived as architectural supports, the animated lions embody strength, protection and auspicious guardianship.

櫃上安置著 [2] 一對清代潮州建築木雕托獅，造型生動奔放，刀法雄健有力，至今仍可見昔日彩繪留下的斑斕痕跡。此類獅形構件原為傳統建築中的承托裝飾，其威武而靈動的姿態，不僅展現潮州木雕鮮明活潑的藝術特色，亦寄寓力量、護佑與鎮宅納吉之意。

Hung above is [3] an antique Qing era embroidered tokwi (桌圍), depicting the auspicious deities Hock, Lock and Siew (福祿壽). Richly embroidered upon a warm satin ground, the textile was traditionally used as a ceremonial table apron, adorning the principal offering table during important family festivities such as Chinese New Year, weddings and celebrations surrounding the birth of a child.

上方懸掛著 [3] 一幅清代刺繡桌圍，以象徵吉慶圓滿的福、祿、壽三星為主題。暖色緞面之上施以細膩華麗的刺繡，人物衣紋、神態與祥瑞紋飾皆刻畫入微。此類桌圍原為傳統禮俗中的桌案裝飾，於農曆新年、婚嫁喜慶及新生兒誕生等重要家族慶典時，圍飾於主要供桌之上。

Crowning the arrangement is [4] a Qing era openwork carved panel, originally forming part of a larger architectural or furniture ensemble. Finely carved with a continuous gathering of figures, the scene represents the celebrated theme of Guo Ziyi’s Birthday Celebration (郭子儀拜壽), one of the most auspicious narratives in traditional Chinese decorative arts.

Standing prominently is [1] a tall beige lacquered cabinet, finished with a gently distressed patina that lends it a warm, rustic character. Generously proportioned for everyday storage, its internal shelves may also be removed to transform the piece into a spacious wardrobe, making it as versatile as it is elegant. Carved floral panels and circular openwork medallions subtly enrich its restrained façade.

卓然而立的 [1] 米色漆木高櫃，以略帶歲月感的仿舊漆面呈現溫潤質樸的氣韻。櫃體寬敞實用，可從容收納日常物品，內部層板亦可拆卸，使其靈活轉化為寬裕的衣櫥，在雅致造型與實用機能之間取得恰到好處的平衡。櫃身以細膩的花卉雕飾及圓形鏤空紋樣點綴，在素雅含蓄的立面之中，增添幾分精巧而不張揚的裝飾意趣。

Beside it stands [2] a black lacquer side cabinet, beautifully hand painted with flowering magnolia branches and a magpie captured in full flight, bringing a lively sense of nature to the composition. Resting above is [3] an inserted and framed embroidered screen depicting the God of Wealth.

A magnificent expression of Chinese decorative craftsmanship, [1] this four panel folding screen is richly embellished with raised inlays of semi precious materials, including carved soapstone, agate, jadeite, mother of pearl, coral stone and buffalo bone, all set against a lustrous black lacquer ground. The varied tones and textures give the figures, palaces, trees, clouds and celestial landscape an extraordinary sculptural depth.

中國傳統裝飾工藝之華美，在這座四扇屏風上展現得淋漓盡致。屏面以瑩潤深邃的黑漆為底，巧妙嵌飾壽山石、瑪瑙、翡翠、螺鈿、珊瑚石及水牛骨等多種珍貴材質，並以浮雕般的立體鑲嵌技法，細緻刻畫人物、宮闕、林木、祥雲與仙境景致。不同材質天然的色澤與肌理彼此輝映，使整幅畫面層次豐富，宛如一幅凝結於漆面之上的立體畫卷。

The principal composition illustrates the celebrated tale of 「唐明皇遊月宮」, or “Emperor Minghuang of Tang Visiting the Moon Palace.” According to later Chinese legend, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang dynasty, commonly known as Tang Minghuang, was mystically transported to the celestial Moon Palace, where he witnessed an enchanting performance by heavenly maidens. The experience was traditionally associated with the inspiration for the celebrated court music known as Nishang Yuyi Qu (霓裳羽衣曲), “The Song of the Rainbow Skirt and Feathered Garment.”

屏風主題取自膾炙人口的傳說「唐明皇遊月宮」。相傳唐玄宗，即後世所稱的唐明皇，在道士引領之下神遊月宮，得以一窺天上仙境，並欣賞仙女翩然起舞、奏樂迎駕的曼妙景象。傳說唐明皇受月宮仙樂啟發，返抵人間後譜成著名宮廷樂舞《霓裳羽衣曲》，將月宮所見的飄逸仙姿與天籟之音化為盛唐樂舞的傳世想像。

Across the screen, elegantly dressed fairies move through a dreamlike celestial realm of Guanghan Palace (廣寒宮), the legendary “Palace of Vast Cold” on the Moon. Amid terraces, pavilions, mountains, cranes and swirling clouds, the figures evoke the ethereal splendour of this mythical lunar realm. The lower panels are further decorated with individual arrangements of archaic vessels and precious objects in the traditional bogu (博古) manner, enriching the screen with additional associations of refinement, antiquarian taste and scholarly culture.

屏風之上，衣袂飄然的仙女穿梭於夢幻般的「廣寒宮」之中。乃中國神話傳說中位於月中的仙宮。亭臺樓閣、層巒仙山、翱翔仙鶴與繚繞祥雲交織成一片超脫塵世的月宮勝境，盡顯仙界空靈幽遠之美。屏風下方各扇則以傳統「博古」題材點綴古器、瓶爐與珍玩，既與上方華麗的仙境敘事相互呼應，亦寄寓文人雅趣、好古尚雅與珍賞古物的文化意涵。

Anchoring the setting is [1] a black lacquer sideboard embellished in the traditional gold tracing technique, its façade meticulously drawn with an expansive landscape of pavilions, figures, trees, and distant mountains. Rising behind it is [2] a hand painted folding screen, where clusters of luminous white blossoms unfold across a warm golden ground. Resting upon the cabinet is [3] a sculptural porcelain deer, standing elegantly amidst the painted blossoms as though it has wandered into the garden itself. Completing the composition is [4] a Japanese Imari jar, richly decorated with colourful floral motifs.

整體陳設以 [1] 一件黑漆描金邊櫃為視覺重心，櫃面以傳統描金技法細膩繪就亭臺、人物、林木與遠山層疊的山水景致，金線映襯於深邃黑漆之上，更顯典雅華美。其後矗立 [2] 一座手繪屏風，皎潔白花在溫潤的金色背景上簇簇盛放，枝葉舒展，為空間添上一抹柔美而詩意的氣息。櫃上陳設 [3] 一個瓷塑鹿，悠然佇立於繁花之前，彷彿從畫中庭園信步而來，為靜謐的構圖注入一絲靈動。最後以 [4] 一樽日本伊萬里燒瓷罐點綴其間，繁麗多彩的花卉紋飾與圓潤器形，為整體陳設增添豐富的色彩與東方雅趣。

At the centre of this richly layered composition stands [1] an elaborate Qing era carved panel, originally forming part of a traditional shrine cabinet and now given renewed presence as a decorative feature. Amidst its intricate gilded carvings is the inscription 「穎水流芳」, meaning “The enduring virtue of Yingshui flows through the generations.” The phrase carries particular ancestral significance for members of the Chen, aka Tan clan (陳氏), whose lineage traces its ancestral origins to Yingchuan (潁川). More than an auspicious inscription, it evokes the continuity of the clan, celebrating the virtues, reputation, and legacy of its forebears as something transmitted from one generation to the next.

層次豐富的陳設之中，[1] 一件清代精雕建築木構格外引人注目。此件原為傳統神龕的一部分，如今脫離原有木製結構，化作一件獨立的藝術陳設，在當代空間中延續其昔日風華。繁複細膩的鎏金雕飾中央高懸「穎水流芳」四字，意謂「穎水之德，流芳百世」。此語對陳氏宗族尤具深厚的祖源意義，源自陳氏以潁川為郡望的歷史傳統。它不僅是一句吉祥頌語，更寄寓宗族血脈綿延不息，先祖德澤、聲望與家風世代相承，流芳後世。

Beneath it stands [2] a Shaanxi style side cabinet, vividly hand painted with the traditional Bogu (博古) theme of antique vessels, flowers, and treasured objects, creating a striking dialogue between northern Chinese folk furniture and the refined carving above. Resting upon the cabinet is [3] an elegant cloisonné table lamp, its richly enamelled surface lending a jewel like refinement to the composition while casting a soft, intimate glow across the setting.

其下陳設 [2] 一件陝西風格邊櫃，以鮮明色彩手繪傳統「博古」紋飾，古器、花卉與清供雅玩交錯其間，與上方細密華麗的清代雕飾相互映照，在北方民間家具的質樸氣息與精緻傳統工藝之間形成饒富趣味的對話。櫃上置有 [3] 一盞雅致的景泰藍檯燈，細膩華美的琺瑯色澤猶如珠玉般點亮整體陳設，柔和燈光徐徐灑落，為空間增添一份溫潤而靜謐的氣息。

Flanking the cabinet are [4] a large green glazed vase filled with an exuberant arrangement of flowers and [5] a rustic red lacquer bar stool, whose timeworn surface lends warmth and character to the setting. Together, the contrasting forms, colours, and histories create an eclectic interior rooted in Chinese tradition yet refreshed for contemporary living.

An elegant expression of Chinese refinement, this blackwood everted fl**ge altar table is distinguished by its graceful proportions, gently upturned ends, and richly polished dark surface. Delicate mother of pearl inlays animate the façade with figures of the Eight Immortals, interspersed with floral and auspicious motifs that shimmer subtly against the deep tone of the timber. The openwork apron beneath adds sculptural depth while preserving the table’s light and balanced silhouette. Traditionally suited for the display of sacred objects and ancestral offerings, a table of this character may serve beautifully as a shrine table, while its stately proportions also make it an elegant statement piece for a foyer or reception hall.
