Meet the false shamrock (Oxalis triangularis) — named for its butterfly-shaped leaflets, three to a stem.

It has a quiet habit: the leaves open through the day, then fold closed at night, or whenever you touch them — like a tiny umbrella closing. So the same plant looks different in the morning than it does by evening.

We shaped this one into a kokedama, roots wrapped in moss, sized to sit right in your palm.

Level 2, right in front of MUJI — that's where you'll find us at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

The trunk twists like it's caught mid-movement — turning, pausing, lifting again toward the light. That pale streak of deadwood along the branch (what we'd call jin) is where years of weathering left their mark, bone showing through bark.
And yet the canopy doesn't read as old at all. Dense, dark green, almost restless — like it hasn't caught up to the trunk's age yet.
That tension between the two is what makes a tree like this hold your attention.

有些树，一眼就知道他走过很多年。

粗壮的根爬满了整个盆面，
像是把时间也一起种了进去。
新叶还是嫩绿的，
老干却已经说不清年份。

这样的反差，我们叫他"老树发新芽"
不是刻意做旧，是他自己长出来的故事。

直到6/9/26，我们在 Pavilion Bukit Jalil。

难得的是，这批树是从槟城一路带过来
平时他们只待在工作室里，
被日光和熟客看着长大。
这次算是破例，让他们出来走走。
