To Keatson Liew, Project Manager at Red Land Design®, this project is more than simply completing a house—it is about turning a vision into a place that feels truly personal. From the first conversation to the final detail, every decision was made with the homeowner’s lifestyle, personality, and aspirations in mind. Behind the finished spaces is a journey of coordination, problem-solving, patience, and countless small decisions that often go unseen. Keatson’s role was to bring different ideas, people, and craftsmanship together, making sure the original vision remained alive throughout the process. The result is not just a beautifully designed home, but a space that tells the story of the people who live in it—and the team who helped bring that story to life.

No ritual or institution did more to reinforce the solidarity of the family system in traditional Chinese society than ancestor veneration. On one of the recent projects development in Red Land Design, we picked Amber Cheah latest commercial work in Papan Memorial Funeral Services 甲板生命關懷 that explore the belief, not in terms of a conflicting faith but with the aim of combining oriental blends with nature to glorify the tradition in modern world.
Since the main permanent building had been abandoned for some time, the company wanted to revive as one of the unique spatial planning concepts in this memorial development land. The reconstructing combines for consultation and administration office with funeral event implicated within the natural environment which is mainly composed of the mountains (shan) and the water (shui).

“Where we would thunk a New York style apartment in Ipoh?” Without a specific budget boundaries, the owner wants to bring another world to a conservative neighbourhood. The quality was not just about the workmanship where typical clients are expecting (𝒘𝒂𝒃𝒊 𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒊 still an alien philosophy to majority localist), it is about ambience that artistically designed and tastefully built. Average consumers unable to justify Smeg, an Italian brand appliances price over Asian made products. It is not just technical solution aspects, we guide our clients along the way to develop their own acquire taste that blends and represent their characteristics through the space. This is what customization is all about.
