Whispers Behind the Old Door

Old doors… They have outlived generations of people who once lived behind them and witnessed countless happy and sad moments.
If only they could tell their stories, they would fill an interesting book or perhaps even several!

That is why I chose the title “Whispers Behind the Old Door” for my Artwork.

Seramai 22 pelukis tempatan dan antarabangsa hadir menyertai Art, Stories, Archaeology, Lenggong (ASAL 2026) yang berlangsung selama tiga hari dua malam di Batu Di-Situ, Lenggong, Perak.

Just a few days ago, I only knew that Lenggong was a place in the state of Perak...

When I received an invitation to participate in the ASAL 2026 Art Festival, I was filled with curiosity to discover what this special place was all about. Only after arriving at the event did I learn that the participating Artists had gone through a rigorous selection process, which made the opportunity feel even more meaningful and special.

From the moment I arrived in Lenggong, I was amazed by its extraordinary historical value as part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Lenggong Valley, its breathtaking nature, ancient caves dating back tens of thousands of years and most importantly, the kindness and generosity of the people who warmly introduced me to this mysterious and fascinating place.

Artists, both 11th locals and international from 11 countries, came together for the grand ASAL 2026 program, organized by Tourism Malaysia and Don Ishak. After visiting the fascinating Archaeological Museum, we continued our artistic journey at the Batu Di-Situ Gallery, where we painted cement slabs inspired by the lives of prehistoric people.

It was truly an unforgettable experience. Under the scorching Malaysian sun, each Artist brought their own interpretation and imagination to life, creating Artworks inspired by Lenggong's remarkable prehistoric heritage.

The closing ceremony was made even more memorable by the presence of legendary Malaysian Artist Dato' Lat.

ASAL 2026 was a stunning and unforgettable experience, an opportunity to meet like-minded people, talented Artists and wonderful new friends from different parts of the world.

A huge thank you to the Organizers for their warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome and thank you to everyone who participated in making ASAL 2026 such a meaningful and memorable project.

I wish Lenggong, this historically invaluable UNESCO-recognised place, continued success, prosperity and International Recognition. May more people from around the world have the opportunity to discover the extraordinary heritage, history and beauty of the Lenggong Valley.

It was a great honour for me to serve as a Judge for the 7th International Golden Bear Awards (GBA). 🏆🎨

An incredible 7,000 children of all ages participated in the competition and selected the top 500 kids and the sheer amount of talent was simply astounding! ✨

Words cannot fully describe the joy of the Winners. The children, their parents and teachers were overwhelmed with happiness and emotion.

A huge thank you to the Organisers Mr. Jeffers ,Mr Jeff and Ms. Aries for creating such a delightful and exceptional award ceremony and for making this celebration so special. 🙏🏻

Egypt... Pyramids, pharaohs, and the mysterious Sphinx...

A land where ancient civilizations left behind magnificent temples, underground tombs, and towering pyramids. Along its Mediterranean and Red Sea coasts, white sandy beaches meet crystal-clear, warm waters.

Who are the Bedouins, the nomadic people who have crossed these deserts for centuries?

What secrets lie hidden within the breathtaking White Desert, with its surreal chalk formations, and the volcanic landscapes of the Black Desert?

How many more mysteries does this extraordinary country still keep, waiting to be discovered? 🇪🇬

📢Wonderful news!📢

My student's Artwork has been selected in an International Art Competition in England from among 2,000 children representing 61 countries! 🥳
Her achievement feels like my own and is the best proof that I am on the right path as a Teacher.

I am incredibly proud of my talented Student and congratulate her from the bottom of my heart.👏🏻

Now, we eagerly look forward to the second round of selection.🤞🏻
