Throwback to the Merdeka Muhibbah Art & Photography Exhibition 2026 at d'Gallery, Dasein Academy of Art

We were proud to be part of it. Every piece on that wall was a reminder of why paper still matters. It holds ink, it holds color, it holds a story someone wanted to tell by hand. Every fold starts the same way. A flat sheet, a crease, a decision to become something else. This crane is folded from Biotope, a paper that tests better in the hand than it does on a spec sheet. Thinner weights hold a crease clean and fold through more layers than a paper this size should allow.

Hidden in this paper is a design that only shows up in Ultraviolet light. Print used to mean ink on a surface. Not anymore. On Biotope by Takeo, Tuak Packaging holds a UV-reactive layer, almost completely invisible under normal light and impossible to miss under blacklight.

PAPER NEW WAVE is Daiwa Itagami's whole philosophy, paper made from things you'd normally throw away. ♻️

Most of this range used to be something else. Milk cartons. Sake packs. Bamboo charcoal from groves nobody wanted. Somewhere between the recycling bin and the printer, it becomes paper again.

Take Caffe Latte F, one of the papers in the range, white on one side, brown on the other, like the drink ☕. We didn't add that colour. That's just the material talking.
Some sheets even come out a little uneven on the back. Not a flaw, proof it's actually recycled. Come feel the difference for yourself at our office, we'll tell you exactly which weight suits what you're making.
