CMC is an architectural practice based in Kuala Lumpur with extensive working experience in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. The practice has a holistic approach to environmental design that includes planning, architecture and interior design. Working in a studio environment, CMC is built around a small group of individuals, each with particular expertise in different aspects of

a multi-disciplinary craft that integrates aesthetic exploration with local building technology. The practice continues to develop an intuitive design approach that combines modern ideas and concepts rooted by local context and culture. Current works range from private residences, apartments and resorts to commercial buildings both locally and regionally. These include private luxury residences in Kuala Lumpur and Leisure Farm, an award-winning boutique development in Johor. Henry Teo (b 1966 Sabah) received his secondary education in England. This was followed by his architectural degrees at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. He has worked for practices in Singapore and at Eric Parry Architects, London, where he was involved in the design and administration of projects in England and Malaysia. He obtained his professional registration ARB and RIBA in 1996 prior to returning to Malaysia to supervise the Damai Suria Condominium project at Jalan U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur. Jason Yap (b 1967 Perak) was trained at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London where he received his Master of Science in 1990 and later his Diploma of Architecture in 1993. He has worked for Architectural Research Unit under Florian Beigel in London, Tao Ho Design Architects and D Heung and Associates in Hong Kong as a design architect. Prior to returning to Malaysia in 2000, he established BTR Workshop in Hong Kong in 1995 where the design practice completed quality commercial and residential works. He has taught at both Hong Kong and local institutions.
