Komu Homu is 5 today.
To be honest, its still feels a little surreal.
Five years ago, Komu Homu stated with a simple idea:
To create spaces for our clients with truly personal and thoughtful design, from design to project completion.
Not over fancy design or costly ornaments, just minimalist yet easy to maintain space.
No more feeling cheated 3D vs reality feel.
No more surprises from the work-on-talk contractors and no proper documentation on drawings and work scopes.
We just wanted to deliver space that invite our client to feel at ease when they are back, just like our name inspired by the Japanese phrase āCome Homesā.
Over the past five years, there have been exciting projects, proud moments and satisfy clients.
But there were also difficult conversations, unexpected site issues, sleepless night, cash flow worries and countless decision that nobody sees behind the scenes.
Sometimes we even been asking ourselves in the midnight, is it that important holding to the principal that we believed in.
Yet somehow, project by project, client by client and day by day, we made it here.
We realized repeated client and referrals from world of mouth increased.
The joyful face and happy moments captured by our client and their visitors reflects we have done something correctly.
From a work desk in a small apartment, growing to operate with our inhouse carpentry factory and office space.
Today, weāre just simply grateful.
Grateful to every client who trusted us with their home and space.
Grateful to every contractor, supplier and collaborator who has been part of the journey.
More importantly, grateful to the team who choose to grow alongside Komu Homu.
The past five years have shaped who we are, and this is just the beginning.
