When we think of easy care indoor plants the usual ones are Pothos, Sansevieria (now Dracaena), Monstera or ZZ plants.
Here's one that should be on the list - Philodendron lemon lime. In my experience they sustain their foliage size and shape in low light for long periods, a really desirable quality for a decorative indoor plant. I don't remember it ever shedding a leaf for lack of light.
Ours is also fairly adaptable to different watering conditions, I've not seen it getting root rot from over watering, and their leaves curl but recover if soil is left dry for a few days. And mealybugs do not seem to favour them!
On the left is our mother plant, the other two are cuttings we rooted in water and perlite for a week, then potted in our soil mix plus organic fertilizer. Look how large the new leaves have grown!
