Compuware is a sister company of Ablecom Technology, both being leading Taiwanese manufacturers in the server and industrial enclosure industry. After successfully completing the Ablecom factory project, we are proud to continue this collaboration by delivering a brand-new factory for Compuware here in Malaysia.
The facility features a modern industrial design with striking grey and blue facade panels, full-height glass curtain walls, and a clean, organized site layout, purpose-built for their advanced production needs. Weโ€™re proud to present our latest international project for ABLECOM, a leading Taiwanese company specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced server chassis, rackmount solutions, and high-performance computing infrastructure. Their brand-new, state-of-the-art factory in Malaysia is a reflection of their continuous growth and commitment to global expansion. This impressive facility stands out not only for its cutting-edge industrial capabilities but also for its bold, modern architectural design. The sleek faรงade features vertical fins and reflective glass panels, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow throughout the day. Smooth, curved corners paired with alternating silver and dark grey aluminum composite panels give the building a high-tech, sophisticated look that perfectly matches Ablecomโ€™s innovative brand identity. Set within a well-planned industrial park and surrounded by landscaped greenery, this factory is a true statement of modern industrial design and functionality.

The Sunset House uses linear layout planning with common areas placed at the back of the house due to the siteโ€™s unique fan shape characteristic - the front of the site is narrower compared to its back. The layout also informs the placement of a lush private garden at the backyard, acting as an outdoor extension of the common areas.
The house sits along an east-west axis, hence the shorter faรงades of the house face the sun naturally. This informs sustainability approach such as using double brick walls at the faรงade facing the east, while verandah and balcony are incorporated at the other side of the house facing west. The outdoor spaces not only act as a buffer zones between indoor and outdoor, but also serves to provide shading for the interior spaces. Usage of generous verandah and balcony coupled with a streamlined outlook also leads to a modern Australian style identity. A cantilever glass roof at the front provides a column-free and spacious design, welcoming its residents and guests into a modern living experience. The result is a modern western style house acting as a personal haven for its residents.

Clarity of structures are celebrated by employing a series of uniformly arranged vertical fins as featured faรงade. Deep recess created by the detachment of internal glazing from the building envelope created by the external fins is also a response to climate condition, as it helps to minimized heat gain. At the same time, natural lighting is not sacrificed but further enhanced with a choreography of light and shadow introduced into interior spaces.

The Interior utilizes large windows lining along the building faรงade to allow unobstructed visual interactions between the interior spaces and the panoramic view of the Johor Straits. Timber louvers are added at the facades to minimize heat gain from the incoming sunlight, at the same time still invites the play of light and shadow through the louvers pattern into the building. The result is a dining experience sublimated by light and shadow as well as a majestic strait view.
