This child’s bedroom in our One Peninsula project feels like a gentle dreamscape—a soft, playful haven where imagination drifts freely and rest comes wrapped in warmth.

Three glowing cloud-shaped wall lights float above the bed like friendly companions, casting a soft golden halo at night. The low upholstered bed in gentle taupe linen invites cozy naps, layered with plush pillows, a beloved teddy bear, and a subtle heart-patterned throw. A red ceramic apple lamp sits beside stacked storybooks, adding whimsy.

A built-in desk nook in light walnut offers quiet creative space—open shelves display favorite books, a potted green plant, and small treasures, with a plush boucle ottoman tucked beneath.

This room is crafted for wonder and security: spacious yet nurturing, luxurious in simplicity, harmonious in soft textures and light—fostering sweet dreams and gentle mornings by the coast.

Design here begins with feeling: the joy of childhood curiosity, the comfort of a safe embrace, the intention to let little moments bloom.

For this master bathroom in our One Peninsula project, the oversized mirror and its perfect symmetry draw me in every time—it multiplies the soft stone reflections, pulls in endless natural light, and turns a functional space into something quietly architectural yet deeply intimate.

Warm beige travertine walls and flooring create a seamless, luminous envelope, grounded by large-format matte tiles with subtle veining. Dark wood blinds filter tropical Penang light into gentle stripes, while a freestanding oval bathtub sits serenely against the window wall, framed by glass shower enclosure.

The long vanity console in warm walnut floats beneath the mirror, its honed travertine stone top holding simple chrome faucets, two bottles of Aesop, and a small stack of books on a wooden stool nearby—minimal, purposeful, inviting.

This bathroom is crafted for calm ritual: spacious yet enveloping, luxurious in restraint, harmonious in texture and light—nurturing quiet moments of restoration.

Design here begins with feeling: the comfort of reflection, the subtle joy of light and symmetry, the intention to make daily routines feel elevated and personal.

This serene glimpse into the master bedroom of our One Peninsula project—a private sanctuary where the day gently dissolves and coastal calm settles in.

Soft, diffused light filters through sheer white curtains, tempering tropical Penang sun into restorative glow. Warm beige textured walls meet a simple ceiling, framed by vertical dark oak panels for subtle depth and rhythm.

Minimalist floating walnut side tables hold personal touches, while tall cylindrical alabaster sconces cast warm upward light, accentuating wood grain with sculptural grace. Ribbed translucent sliding doors echo the vertical panels, spilling diffused light while preserving intimacy.

This bedroom is crafted for profound rest in a seaside super condominium: spacious yet enveloping, luxurious in restraint, harmonious in texture and proportion—letting coastal rhythm nurture the soul.

Design here begins with feeling: gentle comfort, materials that age with grace, a sanctuary for true restoration and quiet exhale.

Delighted to share this intimate glimpse into the master entrance alcove of our One Peninsula project—a quiet threshold where arrival becomes a gentle ritual of transition and calm.

Framed by dark walnut verticals rising from herringbone parquet to soft beige textured walls, the recessed pocket centers on a sleek dark-wood dressing console topped with honed speckled stone. A black ceramic jug with a single delicate bloom adds subtle poetry.

Folding open the adjacent L-shaped cabinet reveals quiet luxury: matte black metal-framed glass panels enclose shelves lined with Acacia Fabrics Mingle Mangle Collection upholstered backing—its irregular, knotted weave in neutral tones bringing tactile mid-century warmth and depth. Golden LED strips gently illuminate curated treasures: Chanel quilted bags, a Balenciaga tote, Hermès Constance, stacked boxes, and personal accents.

This precise, concealed storage keeps the bedroom calm and uncluttered, letting the illuminated bag display become the alcove’s quiet focal point—protected, visible, and effortlessly elegant.

It’s calm yet alive—reasoned details warmed by life, curiosity held lightly with clarity. More than storage, it’s a mindful ritual space: timeless, personal, quietly luxurious.

I love how a single vessel can anchor a space and invite pause—this dining area and open kitchen in our One Peninsula project captures that quiet magic, where gatherings flow naturally and coastal light breathes life into every surface.

At the center, a dark ceramic vase holds a lively arrangement of orange-pink lilies and fresh greenery, bringing natural vibrancy and texture that contrasts beautifully with the neutral palette. The round veined-marble dining table rests beneath a dramatic circular ceiling ring in dark wood veneer, its hidden LED uplighting forming a soft halo that echoes the table’s shape and fosters intimate enclosure.

Overhead, Seeddesign 喜的燈飾’s PAOPAO pendants hang in a graceful cluster: their jewel-like glass spheres with organic teardrop forms and vacuum-plated translucent finish create alluring glows—reflecting light mysteriously when off, and revealing hazy brightness when on—adding delicate, floating elegance without overpowering the calm harmony.

The open kitchen flows seamlessly with a monolithic honed travertine island, minimalist white faucet, moss bowl, and floor-to-ceiling vertical-grain walnut cabinetry, all unified by large-format natural limestone flooring.

This space is refined yet welcoming: open, luxurious in simplicity, harmonious in materials—nurturing connection from quiet breakfasts to sunset evenings.

Design here begins with emotion: the joy of lingering, the comfort of an enveloping home, the intention to blend practicality with quiet coastal beauty.

This living area in our One Peninsula project feels like the calm center of the home—a spacious sanctuary where time slows and moments turn quietly luxurious.

Natural light pours through floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains, framing sea and sky views while diffusing tropical daylight into warm serenity. Textured beige walls, vertical warm oak paneling, and pale limestone flooring create a seamless neutral palette.

A low-slung taupe sectional anchors the space—plush, inviting, with textured pillows—perfect for lingering or quiet observation. Floating walnut side tables hold simple objects; built-in shelves display curated volumes. The TV wall stays restrained: textured framing, low black console below.

Expansive yet intimate, luxurious in restraint—this space nurtures connection through harmonious materials, scale, and coastal light.

Design here begins with feeling: comfort that wraps around you, subtle joy in reflection, intention to elevate every day.

For this private residence in our One Peninsula project, what I love most about the foyer is the monumental backlit Brazil Patagonia quartzite and the low curved banquette upholstered in Acacia Fabrics Mingle Mangle Collection—it invites a gentle pause, its irregular, knotted weave in soft neutral tones adding tactile warmth while keeping the space intimate and architectural.

Soft ambient glow from concealed uplighting and slender sconces reveals warm beige micro cement walls that subtly catch light, forming a serene envelope. Deep black oak panels frame the corridor with precision.

At the heart stands the dramatic Brazil Patagonia quartzite slab—its natural veining glowing with golden warmth like captured sunlight when backlit, turning the panel into living art. Slim vertical light channels accentuate depth, casting elegant shadows toward the black-framed glass lift door.

Natural limestone flooring in large-format matte tiles—seamless, subtly veined, alive with faint fossil traces—grounds the space and leads the eye to this luminous focal point.

This entry captures refined transition: ceremonial yet calming, intimate yet grand, evoking the serene seaside peninsula setting.

Design here begins with emotion—the quiet thrill of homecoming to the sea, intention to nurture through layered beauty and warmth, the power of a thoughtful welcome.

This workspace feels like a quiet anchor in the rhythm of our days—a place where ideas settle, conversations unfold, and the next project begins to take shape.

The shelves tell their own quiet stories. Stacked thoughtfully are volumes that fuel our curiosity—on style, taste, dining, and design across cultures. Interspersed are small, cherished objects: a glossy black lamp with its soft cream shade casting a warm pool of light, a tiny amber glass piece catching the glow, and a few personal artifacts that remind us why we do this work.

It’s a workspace in our 1962 building in Penang that feels deeply intentional—practical for the daily grind of design yet poetic enough to spark imagination. No clutter, no noise; just clarity, curiosity, and the gentle hum of possibility.

In quieter seasons—or really, any time the world feels too loud and fast—I’m pulled back here, thinking about the projects ahead, how to solve problems with grace, how to surprise clients with spaces that feel truly theirs. I start imagining ways to refine these details even further, to nurture the team who shares this room, to create environments that inspire emotion and connection long after the renderings are done.

Design, for me, begins there—with introspection and the simple joy of making something meaningful. This corner captures that spirit perfectly.

This little kitchen pocket here in our 1962 space captures our quieter spirit. The elegant vintage leaded-glass window—its geometric octagons framed in delicate butter-colored muntins—casts soft, patterned shadows across the space.

Below it, a backsplash of deep green square tiles (glazed with that subtle mottled texture) grounds everything with rich, earthy depth—echoing the calm restraint of mid-century sensibilities while bringing in tactile warmth that feels right for our Malaysian climate and context.

The cabinetry below is a careful balance of contrast: Soft greige drawers accented by horizontal bands of warm dark wood, finished with slim stainless-steel pulls that add understated refinement. Overhead, matte soft greige cabinets keep things clean and uncluttered, while the stainless-steel backsplash reflects light softly, tying it all together without drawing attention to itself.

It’s a small pocket of our design studio in Malaysia that feels deeply considered—practical yet poetic, functional yet full of personality. Design here isn’t about shouting; it’s in the quiet harmony of materials, the way light dances through old glass, and how ordinary objects are placed with intention and care.

This is where daily rituals feel elevated: brewing a cup of coffee, prepping ingredients with friends, pouring a glass of wine as the day winds down. A space that quietly says, “Stay a while, breathe, create.”

In the fall—or really, any time the rhythm of life pulls me inward—I start imagining ways to make these corners feel new and different, to surprise and nurture the people who pass through, to create moments that feel thoughtful and full of connection. Design, for me, begins there—with emotion and the simple joy of home.

In this corner of the studio, pieces from different eras sit in quiet conversation: the low travertine coffee table anchors the center with its natural warmth and subtle texture, paired with the black leather lounge chair for restrained elegance. Nearby, the custom side table—its glossy black curved base catching light—holds a small red vessel, adding a touch of sculptural depth.

Above the console, the framed Jim Thompson silk scarf brings vibrant tropical narrative against soft beige walls, while the black table lamp with gold accents casts a warm, focused glow over stacked books and ceramics. Each element speaks to the next—mid-century optimism meets contemporary restraint, materials layered for clarity and curiosity, always warmed for real life.
