Our second Organic Fertiliser Workshop on October 24th was a complete success, fully booked, and packed with hands-on learning!
It was wonderful connecting with fellow growers, gardeners, and agriculture enthusiasts right here in Windhoek. Everyone rolled up their sleeves, dove deep into Korean Natural Farming (KNF) and JADAM principles, and left with their hands full of jars containing the natural fertilisers they brewed themselves—from LAB and Fish Hydrolysate to Calcium Phosphate!
Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked great questions, and brought such fantastic energy to Taatsu's Garden. Seeing participants leave equipped with the practical skills, recipes, and confidence to feed the soil and build thriving ecosystems is what it’s all about.

Sometimes you plant a seed, and you have no idea how big it will grow. 🌱

A few weeks ago, I was invited to speak on NBC radio about organic fertilisers — specifically the KNF and JADAM methods I teach at Taatsu's Garden.

We talked about making fertilisers from things you already have: fish waste, animal bones, molasses, seaweed, leaf mold, even potatoes and salt. No expensive imports. No complicated equipment. Just practical skills that work.

I shared how a simple 5-litre batch of Fish Hydrolysate can cost N$100–200 and last months for a small garden — while a single bag of chemical fertiliser costs N$300+ and doesn't build soil health.

I also shared research from South Korea, India, Ethiopia, and Sri Lanka showing that these methods can:
✅ Reduce costs by up to 90%
✅ Improve water retention in dry conditions
✅ Build soil that gets healthier year after year

And this Saturday, I get to go deeper. The workshop is fully booked. 🙏

🍄 What an incredible 4 days!

I had the privilege of organising a Mushroom Cultivation Training in collaboration with the University of Namibia from 28th–31st July 2026.

A huge thank you to our amazing facilitator, Ms Isabella Ueitele, for her expertise and dedication in guiding our participants through everything – from preparing cultures and spawn to post-harvest handling and marketing.

And of course, thank you to UNAM for the partnership and to every participant for their enthusiasm and willingness to learn. You all made this workshop a success! 🙏🍄
