Saw a picture on someone’s status and I won’t lie… it inspired today’s meal 😂
The original picture was just plain white rice and red palm oil, but me? I had to remix it and create my own version. I call it “Sapa Inspired Rice” because sometimes na creativity and survival instincts dey run the kitchen.

Honestly, when you don’t know what to cook, random food pictures can spark ideas. You fit recreate it exactly, upgrade it, or make your own version based on the budget available. At the end of the day, na to chop and be happy.

Low budget, high creativity. We move.

At this point, Sunday rice is starting to feel like a family tradition, but today I switched the script. Woke up craving swallow so bad, I had to answer the call immediately. No regrets, just pure satisfaction with every bite.

Day 137¦ Party jollof is not luck, it’s technique.

Today I took it back to the roots and showed the real process. Toast your rice first so every grain stands on its own. Control your water, don’t rush it. And yes, let that pot do its magic at the bottom, that slight burn is what dries it out and gives you that signature party taste.

If your jollof has ever come out soggy, this is where you fix it.
