Chief Barr. Barr. Tochukwu Ogalagu , the Ikemba 1 of Ohaukwu and the 2027 Federal House of Representatives aspirant for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, has announced a firm commitment to renovate the Police Area Command located in Ngbo Court Area, opposite the Ngbo School of Health in Ohaukwu Local Government Area.
Ealier today 9th April, 2026, Chief Ogalagu made a stop over at the area Command and promised an Immediate renovation of the Area Command to Restore peace to Ngbo and the entire Ohaukwu LGA
The facility, which serves as a critical security outpost for Ngbo and surrounding communities, has suffered years of neglect. Despite repeated promises from several political stakeholders in Ohaukwu, not a single bag of cement has been delivered to the site. The dilapidated state of the building has forced police officers to desert the command, leaving the area vulnerable to rising security challenges.
Speaking during a community engagement in Ngbo, Chief Barr. Ogalagu Tochukwu stated:
"Our people cannot continue to live in fear because a building was allowed to decay. Security is the foundation of development. Unlike past promises that ended with words, my team will mobilize materials and workers to site within the coming weeks. This is not politics. This is responsibility.
There will be structural repairs, roofing, windows, doors, and perimeter fencing of the Ngbo Police Area Command.
"There shall be immediate assessment and delivery of building materials to commence without delay." Chief Ogalagu stated.
The is a welcome development as it will forestall the return of police officers to the command to restore law, order, and public confidence in Ngbo and the wider Ohaukwu LGA.
Chief Barr. Ogalagu Tochukwu emphasized that a functional police presence will deter criminal activities, protect the Ngbo School of Health, local businesses, and residents, and signal a new era of security stability in the area.
Community leaders in attendance welcomed the pledge and called on Ohaukwu stakeholders to support Barr. Ogalagu Tochukwu on his mission to better the lives of our youths and community services.
