The best place to store our ready-to-fry chops is in the freezer, not the refrigerator.
Use an airtight container or ziplock bag to prevent odor absorption and keep them from getting soggy. When it’s time to cook, fry them directly from the frozen state, without thawing, for the best crispy results.
Storage instructions
~Freeze immediately
Why you should not refrigerate
~Sogginess: Refrigeration can make the chops soggy.
Reduced shelf life: Chops stored in the fridge will not last as long as those in the freezer and can go bad quickly.
What to do after frying
~Cool completely: Never cover fried chops while they are still hot, as this will cause them to become soggy from trapped moisture.
~Store cooled, fried chops: If you have leftover fried chops that you need to store, let them cool completely before putting them in a covered container in the refrigerator. They are best eaten within 2–3 days.
~Reheat properly: Reheat previously fried chops in the oven or air fryer to bring back their crispness.
