How many yards of fabric do i need for my window treatment?

One very confusing moment is when you head to the local market to purchase fabric for your windows. Have you been there?

Get educated!
One simple formula that always works for standard windows and standard fabrics (with lengths over 98"/ inches) is a 3ft window requires 3yards of fabric, 6ft window requires 6yards fabric etc for standard styles such as rodpocket;
For eyelet or French pleat styles 3ft window requires 3 x 3/2 yards of fabric and 6ft window requires 6 x 3/2 yards of fabric!

This is a great guide once youre not dabbling into anything complex.
