Early yesterday morning I headed out to the park to send out two orders. The first order contained mint seedlings for a cocktail vendor in Warri while the second order containing a variety of herbs and veggies seedlings made it to Ughelli for another customer.

Thankfully the seedlings arrived on time and in good condition.

We're working on having more seedlings soon and I'll post them once they ready.

It's funny how she's scared of little insects crawling on the floor but will gladly touch our farm animals 🤣

Our last pregnant doe has littered
I crossed her on the 23rd of April and woke up to 5 kits this morning.

She prepared so well for them. She took out a lot of fur and even nursed them before I came out this morning. They were so warm and well fed too.

She's actually a grandma by the way cos her daughter was the last doe I posted about 😀.

We have a total of 18 kits from three does. It would have been 23 but the fourth doe lost her five kits.

We're in full omugwo mode right now. Ibi is also fascinated by the rabbit kits😅

The chickens are also sitting on eggs and we're expecting some new chicks soon.

I love this farm life.

Doing the Lord's work, one garden at a time 😊
Yesterday we visited a dear old client whose pots had been overtaken by weeds.

We cleared the pots, prepared the soil with some rich manure, and transplanted some curly kale celery, parsley, mint, ugu, scent leaves, and malabar spinach seedlings.
Her little garden is alive again.

Yesterday wasn't a good day for my rabbits, one of the gave birth and I met 4 of the kits d£ad and 1 struggling to survive though it eventually di£d.

I felt really bad, I don't know what went wrong cos I was asleep when she gave birth. This morning I woke up to 5 healthy kits from another rabbit.

The funny thing is I didn’t know she was pregnant but I just left her with a male rabbit for a while. Thankfully she removed her fur and even nursed the kits. She's a first-time mum and she's doing great.

I've moved the kits to a nesting box and also separated the male before he will give her another belle while she's nursing 😅

It's omugwo season for my rabbit family 😊

One of the rabbits I gifted myself for my birthday has given birth.💃💃💃

She was crossed on the 21st of April and yesterday morning I noticed she was activrly putting some grasses into the nesting box.

I knew she was preparing to give birth and I needed to go out so I said a prayer over her before leaving the house. Yes I pray for my animals 😀

I got back home and discovered she had given birth and was resting. I let her nurse her kits and kept them inside since she didn't pull her furs to keep them warm.

The mama, kits and myself are doing well 😅. We're in the omugwo together 🤣

I'm so happy we have new rabbits, more p**p for my garden 😀

I went somewhere today and hurriedly left the place because I was "exhausted ". Same me got home, filled a sack and planted one yam head and next thing I decided to rearrange my raised bed 😅.

I setup that raised bed in February 2024 and some of the blocks have moved so I had to rearrange them

I don't know where the energy came from but now I'm done with the unplanned work and I'm feeling exhausted again 🤣🤣🤣

Early this morning I had to send these seedlings to Benin. We sent out Mountain Mint, Cuban oregano, parsley, sweet basil and Lemonbalm seedlings.

As I came out of the house, madam ran to the gate to wait for me 🤣🤣🤣

I run leave her with her grandma biko. Thankfully the seedlings got the customer in good condition

This past week I started weaning my toddler 😫 and the experience hasn't been funny but it's getting better by the day.

My broilers gave me a lot of challenges, from leg issues to mortalites, I experienced them and if you've ever raised animals, you know that quiet grief when you lose animals.

Thankfully some did well and we I processed a few chickens for some customers over the weekend though I'm taking a break from broilers,  I no get strength for their stress 🤣🤣🤣

I sorted my seedlings, packed up an order, and got it to the park early this morning because someone is counting on those seedlings to start his home gardening journey.

I'm here in a bus,typing content while heading back home because I believe in showing up for my brand even on the hard days.

If you're in a season where showing up looks hard, you're not alone. Take a break if you need to, encourage yourself  andkeep showing up because the roots you're putting down right now are deeper than you know.
