I grew up in an environment where this mindset is bold and solid in their hearts: as a lady, the greatest achievement is marriage. You will see young girls aged 17 and above, and all they think about is marriage; their thoughts, mindsets, speech, and even the way they talk are all oriented towards a man who will come and carry them off as a wife.

Where I grew up, as long as you are a lady and about to be 23 years of age, if you don't have a man in your life who is proposing marriage, you have already missed it.

As long as you are still there and of age, if you don't think like them, there is a category they place you in. The desire and craving for marriage among ladies; the mindset they have towards marriage is not purpose-oriented.

They believe that as a lady, there is no need for a purposeful life or any vision or goals at all.

Even older ladies, once they are 25 years of age and above and no man is coming, may start falling into depression, becoming desperate by any means to get married. Which is not healthy: they don't mind being in a toxic relationship to achieve that 'marriage.'

Because they believe that being married brings a level of respect, and there is a feeling of being a 'Mrs.' by taking on another man's surname.

How did we get here? That's the question ringing in my head. As a lady, we are not saying you should not position yourself for a man to notice you, but don't let everything you live for be just for a man to come and take you as a wife.

The sooner we understand this, the better we will find peace of mind regarding this matter.

So, what I'm trying to say is that as a lady, don't allow all your thoughts and actions to be solely focused on getting married. Yes, having a mindset to get married is not bad. Before a man finds you, please find yourself and start working on that path.

As a lady, don't think all your worth is in the kitchen alone. We are in an era where women are leading in every sphere of influence, so don't be left Out be a partaker of it.

We are in a dispensation where women are not lazy beings. In this level of dispensation, women are vision-driven, living a life of purpose and setting the right goals..
