Our mission doesn’t stop at our own designs.
At Noord see Lights, we believe it’s time to bring creativity back into people’s homes. In a world shaped by mass production,where everything starts to look the same, it’s often the things you create yourself that feel the most meaningful.
That’s why we built our design tool. A space where you can create a lamp that truly reflects your taste, your style, and your interior.
But our mission goes beyond this: a collaborative lesson program at the Metis Montessori Lyceum. Over the coming months, 60 students will work in teams to design their own sustainable lamp.
First, they dive into the world of the circular economy. Because being a designer today means asking deeper questions:
What materials do you choose?
How do you design for sustainability?
And which production methods fit a future where we treat resources with care?
From there, the creative journey begins.
Exploring ideas. Sketching concepts. Experimenting with form.
Step by step, moving from a first thought to a fully personal design.
We think that’s pretty fun.
We can’t wait to see what will emerge in the coming months the sketches, the process, the unexpected ideas, and the final presentations where everything comes together.
For now, we wish all students one thing above all: enjoy the process of creating.
