MEL interiors

"An interior is the natural projection of the soul." Coco Chanel Mel Design is an interior design studio in Amsterdam.

We believe that a good design can transform any ordinary place into an exceptional and personal one. We provide expert advice on choosing a new house or renovating your existing house; making the best layout for your home, always thinking about function as well as esthetics; deciding on materials, furniture, lighting and accessories.

Two new project sites, a day full of ideas.

There’s something so exciting about seeing a project in its rawest stage. Before the ideas, materials and details come together.

Ending the week inspired and already looking forward to what’s next.

August is our month! 🤍

After the holidays, we came back to a very busy month, catching up on all the work that had been waiting for us while we took some time to rest and recharge.

But August is also a moment for us to pause and look back at our journey with MEL Interiors and feel incredibly proud and grateful for how far we’ve come.

Grateful for every client who trusted us, every project that challenged and inspired us, every person who has been part of our team, our amazing partners, the trips, the opportunities, the lessons, the beautiful spaces we’ve created and, most importantly, grateful for each other.

Here’s to another year of MEL — creating, learning, growing, and doing what we love.

Behind every beautiful space lies a journey of transformation.

I’ve always loved bringing home little pieces of the places I visit. Objects that carry a sense of where they came from and quietly become part of our everyday life.

These are the three little treasures that came home with me from my trip to Brazil!

The greatest luxury isn’t the destination—it’s the feeling of returning home. If you don’t miss your home while you’re away, we’d be delighted to change that.
