You are invited to a very special book launch at ’t Japanese Winkeltje / Japanse Cultureel Centrum in Amsterdam.
Ceramic artist Kaori, originally from the Shimane region of Japan, will be presenting her new book "An IZUMO Style Wedding". You are invited to join this special gathering on Saturday the 17th.
In her book, Kaori reveals the beautiful and rarely preserved wedding rituals and traditions of the Izumo region, known as the land where the gods reside. During the event, she will also perform a special tea ceremony inspired by traditional Izumo wedding songs that have almost been lost to history.
