Happy 250! Anniverdary USA!

This flag still has only 48 stars, and not jet the 50 it has now. According to tradition, this flag was left behind in the Netherlands by the Allied troops after the liberation in 1945.

Just received this photo from a client for whom I put together a batch of 77 blue and white landscape tiles from the 18th century, for the bathroom back wall. Doesn’t it look amazing?!

Behold, the angry pilgrim!

An highly unusual Dutch tile: we can see a very angry pilgrim, in full dress and with pilgrim flask, about to smash a crucifix on someone or something.
Maybe this tile is symbolizing the iconoclasm (beeldenstorm), or is a mocking on the Catholic Church.

Just in! A spectacular tulipiere for a massive bouquet of flowers 🤩

This tulip vase or better flower vase is decorated with river scenes with castles, boats and mountains. There are nine spouts in the shape of leaves. It measures a stagering 38,5cm in width and 30cm in height.

Made in the 19th century, by the Saint-Clément workshop, France.
