The Frozen Fountain

The Frozen Fountain The Frozen Fountain is a shop selling contemporary furniture and home accessories. In addition, The Frozen Fountain has organised many exhibitions.

The collection is then made complete by a selection of international furniture brands, creating an interesting interplay of classics and designs by contemporary designers. With these exhibitions, we strive to visualise the symbiosis between idea and end product. The emphasis has now shifted more onto installations and art commissions. Installations can be organised relatively quickly, allowing us

to respond better to the latest developments. In addition, issuing art commissions allows us to investigate a particular subject in greater depth.

Corner crush: Studio Luuk van Laarhoven

His Burned Dresser is made entirely from steel and coloured by hand using heat and oxidation, its surface shifts between deep bronze, blue and iridescent tones. No two are ever quite the same, and that’s exactly the point.

Perched on top, the playful Chairholders by Dirk Duif bring a few little characters into Luuk’s world, while the art, colour and warm light make the whole corner come alive.

A glimpse into The Greatness of Dutch Design

Curated by The Frozen Fountain at The Gallery, Rosewood Amsterdam, The Greatness of Dutch Design celebrates the enduring spirit of Dutch Design through the work of five distinctive voices. Different in material, method, and expression, they are brought together by a shared curiosity, strong craftsmanship, and the freedom to follow their own path.

Featuring Floris Wubben, whose work explores the possibilities of materials and making through experimental processes, self-built machines, and a distinctive approach to ceramic extrusion.

Claudy Jongstra | Dirk van der Kooij | Floris Wubben | Marc Mulders | Piet Hein Eek
Complemented by the Silvester-collection.

Weekend glow settling in ✨

The Not Only Hollow Chair by Dirk van der Kooij creates a soft light through its sculptural shape. Paired with the New Wave Stool by Lukas Cober an opposite texture creates character in the same frame.

Hinted with a fun ceramic piece from Barry Llewellyn's Adansonia series, we adore a playful composition for a slow weekend. 🧡

Exchanging summer for a new office setting 📂

Luckily the Splitted Desk by Teun Zwets combined with the Clay Chair by Maarten Baas brighten the mood. Dressed with the Bitscape Series Vase and Lamps by Moon Seop Seo, accompanied by a Patchwork by Bertjan Pot, this is definitely not your average workspace.

Back to work, but at least playful. 🖇️

A new cozy showroom window 💭

The super comfy Kashima armchair by Ligne Roset combined with playful side tables by Corto Mag Delft. Accompanied by a fun Doodle Lamp by Studio Maya Eline Leroy. A mix of shapes, textures and colours for absolute comfort.

Helios meets Reflections 🪐

Two pieces playing with light and perspective. The Helios Lamps by Studio Zoran Strijbosch put brightness into the room. Move the sphere and watch the light shift.

Dirk Duif's mirror even has it's own tiny balcony, making the miniature architecture play with scale. Take a look at your reflection and you become part of the scene. A bit dreamy, a little strange and very fun.

Accompanied by a new beautiful work from Jan Theun van Rees. 🧡

A grown-up playground 🧩

The Utrecht Armchair by Cassina keeping things classic, while Floris Wubben’s Tiny Table Two brings the curves. Teun Zwets’ Splitted Curio Cabinet goes unapologetically red, Willem Zwiers’ Blow-up Lamp and Whimsy Scratch Mirror add a little inner child, and Kilzi’s Mush Lamps bring the glow.

Good shapes, strange objects and a lot of fun. 🩵

Lush greens, graphic floors and a golden light ☀️

This setting is all about mixing colours, textures and shapes. Every item with its own uniqueness, bright, but bold.

A playful scene where every piece gets its moment.

We're embracing the pace of August with warm light, soft seating, and pieces that spark a little curiosity ✨

Rutger de Regt's Mommy collection is playful, tactile, and wonderfully unconventional: bringing a sense of humor to contemporary design while remaining beautifully functional. Whether used as a stool, side table, or sculptural accent, each piece reminds us that great design is as much about emotion as it is about form.

Cut out of clay 🔧

This setting by Atelier Fig started with one slice of clay and suddenly became an experiment. Raw textures, happy accidents, and sculptural forms all shaped by the use of a wire cutter.

What began as play has grown into an ever-evolving collection of functional and playful objects.

We're also entering the final days to discover the window installation by Atelier Fig as part of the Pride Art Route. On view until August 9 🤍
