FAQ: Who is she?! We see her everywhere!

Miffy or Nijntje is a world wide icon! She is a bunny character created by Dick Bruna in 1955.

She is well beloved by Dutch children through her books that’s filled with adventures, curiosity, and kindness, often learning simple life lessons! Her stories are told through simple illustrations and minimal text, which became her signature.

Over the years, Miffy has grown into a global cultural icon. Her books have been translated into 50 more lagoons, allowing children from all over the world to grow up with her stories.

Japan has quite the fascination of Miffy! Equally popular with the character Hello Kitty!

Fun fact: her Dutch name Nijntje comes from “konijntje,” meaning “little bunny.”
